Admin Junk!! (The Fun Stuff is Over There

Put it in 4 Lo! )

Minutes of Last Two Meetings: November 14th: We had 11 in attendance and welcomed two new members, Brian Lucas and Ken Holderfield. We arranged to have the care package sent to Steve Lawrence and the rest of the guys in Kuwait. We voted to establish the position of Club Treasurer. We discussed a need for a club financial report to be given at the January meeting. We also discussed the club website and planned to talk with Jason Thompson of Cedar Hills Media about it. This also prompted some talk about whether we need somebody to be a media director for us to help manage our online presence, especially once the website is up. We also began a discussion on providing a raffle item or two for Mardi Krawl. TLCA is in need of Trails content from the east coast clubs‌any ideas? December 12th: We had nine members in attendance. We voted unanimously for Cedar Hills to begin website development after the first of the year. Also talked about joining the Huntsville Christmas parade again next year and whether we should have a club Christmas party in 2016.

Skyline WMA Exploration: Deer season ends January 31st at Skyline. We should pick a weekend in February to go explore this area before Turkey season starts in March. We’ll discuss at the meeting. March 11-13: Will have an opportunity to help the LLK group at Hawk Pride as they prepare for Mardi Krawl. Park info is here: http://www.hawkpridemountainoffroad .com/ April 7-10: Mardi Krawl! One More Thing….. I want to apologize for the missing November newsletter. Turns out the motherboard is toast on my HP Envy. It also turns out that HP customer service is terrible, but I’ll have a new computer under warranty eventually. At least DTM was able to recover my hard-drive so I could put the December edition together. Oh, and Santa brought me a GoPro for Christmas! Here’s a video from mine and Jason’s trip to Choccolocco Mtn. ORV park last weekend: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axrHHBr NEZY

What did you do with your Toyota 4X4 this Month??? Kind of light on Cruiser Pics this Time Around. But here are a few good ones, Michaels' new to him 12HT is in and well along the path to being installed! Check out his build thread on IH8MUD for the latest: http://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/my-78-barn-find-fj45.805406/

What did you do with your Toyota 4X4 this Month??? Kind of light on Cruiser Pics this Time Around. Here’s a few from my Thanksgiving Trip to Florida. How would you like this truck for you’re first vehicle? Belongs to one of my in-laws and is set up for running dogs. Also my brother picked up the white FJ60 with a V8 swap. He’ll be bringing it to Mardi Krawl later this year.

What did you do with your Toyota 4X4 this Month???

Fj45 For Sale in B-ham, this ones been advertised in the back of Toyota Trails, but if you haven’t seen it‌..

Per Greg K., this is 1965 FJ45 Shorty. A classic rare vehicle. Have title history from original purchase. Rebuilt 2F and drivetrain from a '78 or 79FJ. ARB's front & rear, new interior, power brake booster, front disc axle, rear disc brakes, mini-truck PS, Warn 9K, custom bumpers, extra set steel 1/2 doors from late model FJ, like new 36 TSL SX, extremely rare original rear split window (sliding windows on each side) Literally a boatload of parts both new and used, mainly from FJ40s, shackle reversal, rear HD 1 1/2 lift springs. Saved virtually everything from the orig vehicle except the block. Early research indicated that maybe only about 265 of this particular style were imported to the US. $27,500. Contact gkenn@ix.netcom.com if interested.
