Presidents Corner Gentlemen, Cruiser Heads and Fellow LC believers, Fall is well under way and the Holidays are just around the corner. It's hard to believe that this year is almost through! I hope all of you have been able to spend time with your LC as well as your families. Now is the time of the year for us to start the maintenance work and repairs our rigs need in preparation for next years trail riding season. Looking forward to next year, I have already been informed that the second annual “Meet n Greet” is being planned. It looks like it will happen September 23-25 2016 at Oliver Springs TN. I believe this is Windrock OHV park. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong (as if I need to ask). Also if you are interested in upgrading your rig's dome light to LED's, I can recommend a new vendor I've come into contact with recently. You can't believe the difference this upgrade makes and it is simple. As always I look forward to seeing all of you on Saturday. See you soon, Michael B. <><

What did you do with your Toyota 4X4 this Month??? Some major carnage‌. My brothers J**p took a nap on the trail. Remember: don’t wheel alone at night unless you like long walks in the dark, and, winches and people that know how to use them are worth their weight in gold! Rescue pics are next.

One of organizers of the Meet-N-Greet we had in Cullman (lets call him Charles) has a mechanic named Rob Smith that does all of the work on his Land Cruisers. During a conversation that weekend Charles mentioned that Rob had recently started upgrading original LC dome lights with LED units. My interest was piqued, so after the trail ride I followed up with Charles for the contact information on Rob. I mailed my unit to Rob, which had never worked since I have owned my 45. I did notice the dome lens was very yellow and cracked and figured it was not going to be usable. After Rob received my light he confirmed my suspicions and said he could get me a new dome lens. In a short amount of time Rob informed me that my light is ready and promptly mails it back. When I opened the package I was amazed! He not only replaced the lens but had in fact replaced the entire unit and then upgraded it with 12 LED's. So I installed the unit as soon as I had the opportunity and waited for night fall. Check out the results
If you are interested you can reach Mr. Rob Smith at extremearrow@yahoo.com If you simply would like to see more of his work, there is a thread on Mud in the “Classified” section look in the small business section for “LED Dome Light Kits”.

Fj45 For Sale in B-ham, this ones been advertised in the back of Toyota Trails, but if you haven’t seen it‌..
Per Greg K., this is 1965 FJ45 Shorty. A classic rare vehicle. Have title history from original purchase. Rebuilt 2F and drivetrain from a '78 or 79FJ. ARB's front & rear, new interior, power brake booster, front disc axle, rear disc brakes, mini-truck PS, Warn 9K, custom bumpers, extra set steel 1/2 doors from late model FJ, like new 36 TSL SX, extremely rare original rear split window (sliding windows on each side) Literally a boatload of parts both new and used, mainly from FJ40s, shackle reversal, rear HD 1 1/2 lift springs. Saved virtually everything from the orig vehicle except the block. Early research indicated that maybe only about 265 of this particular style were imported to the US. $27,500. Contact gkenn@ix.netcom.com if interested.
