Presidents Corner Gentlemen, Cruiser Heads and Fellow LC believers, I hope everyone enjoyed the snow! I sure did, I took my newest Cruiser out for a spin in it, check out my FB video. Steve sends his regards and says thanks again for his care package in December! He has about 4months left in his deployment and is counting the days. I'm sure any former military personnel know exactly what he is talking about. He has big plans for Olivia when he gets home. The other day he made an hour long trek for work and counted 50 FJ Cruisers along the way. He also sees various other Land Cruisers in his daily work and travels, especially the 70 series trucks. Too bad we never had any of these units here In the states! Is everyone aware that our web site is up and functioning? Check it out at hotsouthcruisers.org! It is still under construction so things are being added and tweaked from time to time. This may be the last newsletter that gets emailed to you as our original plan was to stop clogging up your in box and just post the newsletter on the web site. As always I look forward to seeing all of you on Saturday. Michael B. <><

Minutes of Last Meeting: January 9th: We had 15 in attendance and welcomed one new member, Eric H. to the group. It was reported that the website was started. Also the TLCA report was that we are working on our Chapter in Good Standing Form and that Kyle M. volunteered for Eastern Rep. again. Speaking of Kyle, the club voted unanimously for Kyle Massengale for the position of Club Treasurer. Thank you Kyle for volunteering! Finally we discussed plans for 2016, to include a tour of TMMA, and the Penney collection. We tentatively scheduled rides for February, March, and April. And we talked once again about CERT training.

Fj45 For Sale in B-ham, this ones been advertised in the back of Toyota Trails, but if you haven’t seen it‌..

Per Greg K., this is 1965 FJ45 Shorty. A classic rare vehicle. Have title history from original purchase. Rebuilt 2F and drivetrain from a '78 or 79FJ. ARB's front & rear, new interior, power brake booster, front disc axle, rear disc brakes, mini-truck PS, Warn 9K, custom bumpers, extra set steel 1/2 doors from late model FJ, like new 36 TSL SX, extremely rare original rear split window (sliding windows on each side) Literally a boatload of parts both new and used, mainly from FJ40s, shackle reversal, rear HD 1 1/2 lift springs. Saved virtually everything from the orig vehicle except the block. Early research indicated that maybe only about 265 of this particular style were imported to the US. $27,500. Contact gkenn@ix.netcom.com if interested.
