MAJOR GENERAL (RES.) YITZHAK (JERRY) GERSHON has more than 32 years of military experience. General Gershon served in the top combat units in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). Most of his service was on the front lines in Lebanon and Judea/Samaria. General Gershon commanded troops in various special operations, as well as during the first and the second Lebanon War, and the "Defense Shield" operation during the second Intifada. He is presently the United States National Director of Friends of Israeli Defense Forces.

This year's Graduation Sunday ceremony is June 7 dur ing the 10:45 am service. We would like to include all High School, College, and Post-Graduate School Gradu ates. Graduates, plan on attending this special service. Wearing caps and gowns are optional.

During the service we will be passing out a guest gift including a CD featuring our Worship Band, Canvas and our Children’s Choir, Hiz Kidz.

Take the next steps toward spiritual maturity in an “Encounter” class where all we study is the Word of God and Theology.

There is also a free coffee coupon to be used in our Café. If you do not receive a gift, please stop by the Information KIOSK in the Lobby before you leave.

Kids The Call

Life Choices A pregnancy can mean some unexpected decisions. The Life Choices medical personnel and peer counselors are trained to help women deal with these decisions. The services that Life Choices provides are free and are offered in a private, comfortable setting. Life Choices offers free pregnancy tests, free ultrasounds and pregnancy counseling.

The Call is our missions study coming this summer.

Life Choices also offers counseling for men, to help prepare them as support partners/fathers. The goal of the Life Choices ministry is to be available to answer questions in a caring, non-judgmental environment.

There are always opportunities to get involved in the children’s programs here at Cedar Park. Here are some ways you can make a difference in the life of a child:

Baptism Class Baptisms are taking place Sunday, June 21 in the 10:45 am service. Baptism is immersion in water as an outward and public statement of your inward commitment to follow Christ. If you have made this decision and have not been baptized, this is your next step. Join us for the class prior to being baptized on June 7th at 4:30 pm in the Cafe. Cedar Park’s Bible Quiz team is headed to Nationals once again! Please join us during both morning services in the Upper High School Parking Lot.

Pastor Brad's wife Leah and our lady youth staff are planning a High School girls sleep over on June 5 at 6 pm at the Shirley home. Cost is $5 and includes a BBQ dinner on Friday and a delectable breakfast on Saturday. Bring a swimsuit, sleeping bag and pillow. Leah has lots of fun things planned including movies under the stars. The Saints Go Marching Out Come study the book of Numbers w/ Dr. Fahey and track the story from Mt. Sinai to the Promised Land.
