Epiphany Sunday On Epiphany Sunday we celebrate the baptism of Jesus and His anointing for ministry by laying hands on believers and praying for the anointing of the Holy Spirit on their life and ministry. We believe that every good work should be done with the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Rather than New Year’s resolutions that seldom motivate, consider the spiritual dynamic of the anointing of the Holy Spirit as a transforming agent. Just as Jesus, when he was ready to begin his ministry, was specially anointed by the Spirit, you should pray for a similar anointing to do the work God has given you to do. There are dozens of spiritual gifts that Jesus can give you. God’s plan for your life is to do His will with His anointing. Personal and spiritual fulfillment are found in doing the good works that God has prepared in advance for you to do.

Almsgiving Union Gospel Mission The Union Gospel Mission was founded in 1932, by representatives of Seattle area churches to feed, clothe, provide shelter and spiritual help to the homeless and the hungry. Two divisions provide food, clothing, shelter and serve the other diverse needs of transient men, homeless and abused women and families, inner city youth, street people, prison inmates and lowincome senior citizens.

People News Jessie and Luke Cook, and their daughter Lilliana, welcomed the newest member of their family, Caleb Josiah, on December 14. Wayne and Carrie Lampel are the proud grandparents. Dan and Nancy Hiatt and Erich and Kelly Britton are happy to announce the engagement of their children, Emily Hiatt and Joe Britton. Congratulations with blessings and prayers for your future together.

Missions Update Missions is important to the world and important to us here at Cedar Park. It is important to the world because without missionaries and outreach many people will never hear the Gospel. It is important to us because it is one of the key ways that we fulfill the Lord’s directive to us to take the Gospel into all the world. Please stop by the missions display board in the back of the west foyer to read the recent letters and reports from the missionaries supported by Cedar Park both at home and abroad. And please don’t forget to pray for those that represent us in the mission field.

Sign up today for $39 (including lunch) by contacting Dan Hiatt by email at men@cedarpark.org or by phone at 425-820-9938. For more information, visit www.nationalcoalition.org. For more details, contact men@cedarpark.org.
