First activity “WHAT FACES DO YOU FIND??” Duration: 50 minutes for a group of approximately 10 people Objectives: • Knowing, detect and internalize the different emotions, feelings and sensations of people, especially young women Activity: Explain to the students the activity. This consists in having to find on the web different images of people in reflecting various moods: sad faces, happy ones, etc ... The educator has to oversee this work and check that students correctly relate the image with the feeling that they that face expresses Materials: o computers with Internet access, o Internet access, o camera with video shooting option, o pens, o blank pages, o DVD's.

Second activity “Show the actor/actress in you!” Durata prevista: 60 minutes for a group of approximately 10 people Objectives: • Knowing, detect and internalize the different emotions, feelings and sensations of people Activity: The educator has to choose six moods and individually, in the same place and respecting the order of moods for all students, takes six photos per person where each photo represents one of the facial expression required by the teacher. Very important! You can give hints on how you have to pose to represent the mood. Materials: o computers with Internet access, o Internet access, o camera with video shooting option, o pens, o blank pages, o DVD's.

Third activity “Let’s make a short!” Duration: 90 minutes1 Objectives:

Respect and help both partners as companions.

Understand that a concrete response to the same situation leads to different states of the person.

Activity: Young people have to represent a violent action, while the educator has to record the scene. At the end of this video, there is a question "What would you do?” From here we move on to the next part of this whole kit depending on the response they give. There are three options: 1. - Facing. 2. - Run away. 3. - Asking for help from an adult or an authority Materials: o computers with Internet access, o Internet access, o camera with video shooting option, o pens, o blank pages, o DVD's o video editor and recorder.

Forth activity “The Civic Europe Game” Duration: 20-50 minutes Objectives: • To understand the appropriate behaviours for the prevention of violence in order to live in a civilized society, respecting each-other • To know the European legislation in the field of youth violence • To stimulate reflection and debate on the values and interests of young people Activity: The activity consists in the use of a board game created especially by the Spanish young people who participated in the project Povel. Number of players: players, divided into four teams, each team representing a member Daphne Povel project: Belgium, Italy, France and Spain Materials: • A game board; • 4 cards, one of each color: green, yellow, red and blue. • 1 die. • 4 cups for rolling the dice: green, yellow, red and blue. • 40 multiple choice questions on the prevention of youth violence, which should solve the game participants. • 10 questions on European legislation for the prevention of youth violence, which should solve the game participants. • 40 construction elements, so that participants can build their civic city: 4 police stations, 4 clubs, 4 squares (or parks), 4 typical city monuments (one from Belgium, one from France, one from Italy and another from Spain), 4 cinemas, 4 schools, 4 churches, 4 hospitals, 4 sports halls, 4 banks. GAME RULES 4 teams play, each team representing a Daphne Povel project member: Belgium, Italy, France and Spain. Each team has an area to go civic building his city, as well as a chip, a die and a goblet.

Each team has an area of 4 squares associated to questions, and a central circle (common to all the teams), where players can step moving along the boxes question. To start the game, the players roll the dice in turn. The team that gets the highest score starts. The play order of the other teams is clockwise. The first team throws the dice and moves in the area of the squares reaching the square indicated by the score of the dice. The team draws a question and answer. If they answer correctly, they can pick an object for the construction of the city (his choice), if they guess wrong, they put down the object and pass the turn. Who will win the game If there is a tie, the team will win more construction elements is accomplished. The winner is the player who reach the center circle and solve the question European legislation on youth violence, having achieved a minimum of two building elements. At the end of the game the group reflects about the choice of the elements chosen by the students for the construction of the city civil and discusses the values and interests of the participants involved.

Fifth activity “Joke, Argument, Bullying, Crimeâ€?2 Duration: 60 minutes Objectives: To understand the appropriate behaviours for the prevention of violence in order to live in a civilized society, respecting each-other • To know the European legislation in the field of youth violence Activity: The task is to place inside a square diagram a series of behaviors, trying to classify them according to four types: joke, fight, bullying and crime. It is possible that some behaviors are covering two or more types. The group is divided into 2 teams. Each team compile your a diagram. Time: 30 minutes During the remaining 30 minutes, the responses of the two teams are compared and similarities and differences discussed, seeking to understand the criteria for a correct assignment to the category. Situations: 1 When Omar argues with someone he is not capable of putting his explanations into words, he starts fighting. 2 Marco is the best of his class. He regularly makes fun of Mattia because he studies little and risks failing. 3 On the first day of school a 5th grader goes up to a 1st grader during break time, snatches his snack from his hands and eats it 4 Since Sara and Anna do not want to play with her, Lisa has scribbled on their drawings 5 A pupil heavily offends one of his classmates in front of the others. 6 Enrico, who is shorter than the others, is never asked to join any of the two teams during physical education . The professor demands that his classmates ask him to play, and nobody passes him the ball. 7 Matteo is a friend of Francesco and they often make fun of each other 8 Franco, a 3rd grader, demands that every day Luca, a 1st grader, gives him a bite of his snack. Luca does so and Franco almost always refuses. 2

9 Every day a pupil obtains 3 euros from a classmate under the threat of beating him up. 10 Ahmed comes from Morocco. A classmate always calls him “filthy Moroccan� and prevents his classmates from sitting next to him. 11 Giovanni is shy and vaguely effeminate. His classmates always call him Giovanna. 12 Anna is engaged with Lisa's ex. Lisa keeps calling him on his mobile. Anna tells her that is she does not stop she will hit her. 13 Wrestling fans, Edo, Paolo and Gianluca enjoy wrestling during break time. 14 Two boys lock a girl in an empty classroom and force her to take off her clothes. They film her and leave without touching her. 15 No pupil of the classroom is good at school, only Monica is and she is made fun of and isolated by her classmates because they tell her she is a swot and the lap dog of professors. 16 Elia always wants to be right. If someone disagrees with him, Elia threatens him/her and tells him/her to shut up. 17 Marzia asked her classmate to show her her maths schoolwork. Her classmate refused and Marzia is very upset with her because she has got a D. 18 The most feared boy of the class demands to have the shower to himself at the gym and to shower first, even if he arrives late. 19 Alessia has a serious hearing problem. Her classmates make fun of her because she speaks strange 20 Even if he is physically less fit, Dario always picks on Luca, who gives him a lesson by taking his stuff, ripping his journal, his notebooks... 21 Sara spreads the rumour that Marta stinks and that nobody has to be her friend 22 Between periods Andrea is used to publicly groping Rita even if she always tries to escape. She reports it to a teacher. 23 Nicola has hidden Gianni's pencil case, returning it at the end of the hour.
