Despite this performance, it was indicated that progress was being made on both fronts. Barbados’s bill for oil imports in 2009 and 2010 totaled some $230 million, which amounts to nearly 6% of national GDP, about what it spends on education. A reef ball is a casted concrete structure like a bell with multiple holes in the sides, open at the top and hollow in the middle. The US$500,000 (J$44m) Smart Grid Interface (SGI) pilot launched last month allows customers to curb their power usage from anywhere in the world. Read more
