12-11-2013 || The Gaia Riverlodge in Belize is now Run Entirely on Hydropower GAÏA Riverlodge, located in the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve of Belize, has long been a top eco-conscious resort (it was formerly the Five Sisters Lodge) but thanks to a new hydropower energy system and a few other environmentally-friendly upgrades, the resort and its jungle cabanas have pretty much topped all other green resorts out there. Read more 5-11-2013 || JPS Upbeat About Customer Acceptance of SolarMill The Jamaica Public Service (JPS) is upbeat about the prospects of its recently launched SolarMill renewable energy power generating system.

According to the light and power distributor, days after the launch of the SolarMill on Tuesday, approximately 500 people have expressed interest in the hybrid power generator during a sales event at the JPS Ruthven Road Sports Club in Kingston with several deposits already placed.

Read more 1-11-2013 || Caribbean Energy Transition in the Spotlight in Martinique The first Caribbean conference on energy transition (CTEC 2013) held last week in Martinique (October 22 and 23) has been hailed a success.

The two-day conference, at Palais des Congrès de Madiana, focused on establishing regional collaboration through the exchange of experience, policies for the development of renewable energies, the use of public financing (in particular instruments from the European Union), and governance tools.
