Can I Wear a Pantsuit to My Wedding?
Question: I love pantsuits, but I’m very traditional. My fiancé tells me he just wants me to be happy.
Answer: Just because your traditional doesn’t mean you need to lose yourself. If you love pantsuits, and want to wear one on your big day, then go for it. However, if you’re still feeling uncomfortable, then how about you compromise with yourself? Stick with tradition for your ceremony and change into a beautiful pantsuit for your reception. We’ve seen brides do it before and they love dancing in it for the rest of the night. See bride Haley in this issue. And good job picking your man, he sounds like a keeper!
Hello, confidence!
The only one saying you can’t pull off a pantsuit at your own wedding is you.
It’s so non-traditional!
Think about it this way… it used to be non-traditional to wear colored dresses. Now a black wedding dress is donning a wedding magazine cover.
It’s a trend…
This is not the first season of NYLBFW that we’ve seen (and fawned over) pantsuits in designers’ collections. Nor will it be the last, we’re sure.
