. . . and it started with one spectacular male . . . The Alliance is three independent Suri Alpaca ranches that originally came together as part of a business arrangement to co-own GLR Nico. Nico was the first of many to be added to The Alliance’s stable of elite herdsires. What began as a business arrangement has grown into a strong, long-lasting friendship and mutual admiration based on our shared goals — for ourselves, our clients and for our industry. The Alliance is Rogue Suri Alpaca, owned and operated by Jason and Beverly Brehm located in Medford, OR; Shambalah Alpaca Ranch, owned and operated by Hillary Devin located in Franktown, CO, and Triple H Ranch, owned and operated by Jennifer Hack, located in Sedalia, CO. With over 28 years combined Suri breeding and showing experience, The Alliance has the same goal: create superior breeding stock with advanced Suri fleece traits for show and sale year over year. By combining their knowledge of genetics, fleece traits and conformation traits, The Alliance is making consistent breeding decisions based on data-driven results. The Alliance is invested in the success of the alpaca industry. Beverly Brehm is an AOA Certified Halter Judge for Suri and Huacaya. Jennifer Hack is the President of The Alpaca Owners Association. Hillary Devin is the President of Alpaca Breeders of the Rockies, an AOA affiliate. Three separate entities with one shared vision creates a strong triumvirate completely vested in the success of our clients and the Alpaca industry. Let us help you on YOUR alpaca adventure!

Hello Alpaca Enthusiasts! We’ve been involved in the alpaca industry for the past 26 years. Our 107 acre ranch, located near Culver, Oregon, is approximately an easy two hour drive from Portland. If you have an opportunity to visit our ranch, you’ll have the pleasure of viewing over 900 huacayas grazing in our lush, irrigated pastures. They are an accumulation of the most proven quality genetics gathered up across the U.S and Canada. Our objective is to produce alpacas with high fleece weights with low micron in solid color. The majority of our herd consists of Accoyo/Peruvian bloodlines. We believe in maintaining strong hybrid vigor while at the same time ensuring we’re breeding for excellent conformation and type. We also want to maintain the following critically important reproductive traits; an abundance of milk, easy to rebreed, quiet gentle personality. We refuse to breed genetic traits into our herd that compromise these goals. All our bred females are sold confirmed pregnant by ultrasound and with live birth guarantees. On package deals we offer discounts, reasonable finance terms, and if possible, we transport your new alpacas to your farm.

We love the alpaca business and all the great people we’ve had the good fortune to meet. We invite you to explore our website or better yet, please come and visit us at our ranch.

Big Timber Alpacas resides among the tall firs on Parrett Mountain near Sherwood, Oregon, about 25 miles southwest of Portland. We love working with both experienced and new breeders located inside and outside the US to provide them the best alpacas to suit their needs. Our breeding program focuses on proven elite white and color genetics to produce champion alpaca bloodlines. Our mission is to produce the highest quality alpaca seed stock: conformationally correct and healthy; uniform, dense and finely fibered, good-natured alpacas. We are proud that 100% of our white foundation herd has Top 1%- 5% rankings in the 2021 EPDs. In addition, 100% of our color herd including blacks and browns has at least Top 25% EPD rankings. We believe in using quantitative data tools (including histograms, EPDs and skin biopsies) to measure the success of our breeding program and improve our seed stock with every generation. We shear and test all our alpacas every year, including Suri juveniles, to accurately assess annual fiber trait progress and to utilize the fiber in our products. We use the Suri Network S.H.I.P tool to independently evaluate our Suri alpacas by outside experts. Data driven breeding decisions ensure quality results and drive our breeding program advancements.

Big Timber alpacas compete in top national shows winning championships, judges choice awards and “Advanced Fleece” awards. We are honored to be the recipient of the 2020 AOA Light Suri Male Supreme Champion, the 2019 AOA Heirloom Breeder Cup and 2019 Suri Network Diamond Breeder Cup Awards, and the 2018 Futurity Reserve Suri Small Breeder Award.
