FAMILY PROGRAM TARIFA 2012 "Between two seas, two natural parks and two continents"
Program 6 days and 5 nights Tarifa is the most southern point of the entire European continent, situated only 14km from the old continent of Africa. Thanks to the protection of the two natural parks surrounding it, it is a place with unspoiled and intact nature. It is therefore an ideal site for those active families who wish to live sporting and cultural experiences in nature.
First day. - Welcome to the south of the south. Arrival at the chosen accommodation, and presentation of the program.
Second day. - Cetaceans and dolphins (duration 2-3 hours). We will find ourselves at the Port of Tarifa, where it holds a presentation of the marine features and of the species that inhabit the area: pilot whales, bottlenose dolphins, common dolphins and striped dolphins. Then we will embark to go sailing in the Strait of Gibraltar. From April to June, sperm whales migrate through this area and in July/August come the orcas. From time to time we are lucky to observe some common minke whale (the second whale in size, after the Blue Whale). Rest of the day free. We suggest that you visit the old town of Tarifa (Castle of Guzmรกn El Bueno), the island of pigeons (the southern tip of Europe), where you can see the Mediterranean sea on your left and the Atlantic ocean on your right, or the fascinating sunset that we enjoyed in Tarifa throughout the year.
Third day. - Mountain Biking Route by the Natural Park of Los Alcornocales (duration 3-4 hours). At first hour in the morning, we will carry out a beautiful path through the Natural Park of Los Alcornocales, the second biggest natural park of Andalucia, with one of our bicycles Cannondale Trail SL4 of 2012.
Fourth day. - Route on horseback (duration 2 hours) During the day we will go to Punta Paloma, from where we will wait for an unforgettable excursion on horseback to the dunes and beaches bordering the Natural Park of the Strait. Horses are very docile, beam Hispanic Arabic, ideal for beginners or young riders without experience.
Fifth day. - Hiking Natural Park of the Strait (3-4 hours). A route through the San Bartolo Mountain, where you can enjoy walking through ancient trails surrounded by eucalyptus, pine trees, rocky and sandy floor‌ We overfly birds of prey, mainly the griffon vulture and breathtaking views over the bay of Bologna, the Fates Mountain and the coast of Morocco.
Sixth day.- Visit Baelo Claudia (2 hours). In the morning, we will visit the museum and the roman city of Baelo Claudia, which is kept in perfect condition and is located in the village of Bologna, next to the spectacular giant dune of white sand.

Hotel Cortijo Rural Las Piñas: Situated in the countryside, close to the beach, in Valdevaqueros, and with a view over the sea and the mountain. Apartments for 2-4 persons with kitchen. It has a cafeteria, swimming pool, parking, tennis and basketball courts, tables, block for horses and children's playground. Hotel Rural El Rancho: Located in the natural park of Los Alcornocales. Apartments for 2-3 persons with kitchen. Swimming pool, football field, horse riding and restaurant.
