Concept
My favourite sitting form is tailor sitting - bending legs, crossing on ankles, feet and buttock on the same plane, and hands are relaxedly put on lower legs. Whenever I am taking this posture, I can feel a strong sense of relaxation as well as stability, since the pressure of my body is mainly dispersed by my waist and buttock, which have larger force area and lower centre of gravity, compared to standing with all pressure on feet. Also this posture is adaptable in many cases, from working with a laptop to reading a book, or simply in a daze. This design project focuses on the relation between my personalised tailor sitting form and supporting furniture, through progressive analysis and practice.

Reflection
Standing at the ending point of the whole design peoject and looking back into the progress during past semester's studio's work, the first thing comes into my mind is how I was trying hard to generate an idea, then deny it, and regenerate it, and again deny it/generate it... all about overthrowing and rebuilding. It could be unbearable when facing with these endless iteration repeatedly. Nonetheless, the initial idea is in fact, extracted from the process of resonating with some and disregarding others. This again reminds me that, design is a scrutiny process, which calls for critical recognisation of the idea in my mind during each period of design cycle.
