THE YEAR OF Miha Mikek

Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer

GROWING UP I am proud to present to you the very first Celtra yearbook that we created together. It serves not only as an overview of an amazing year that we have shared, but also marks the third anniversary of the AdCreator release and our Series A funding; two major turning points in Celtra’s history that laid out the building blocks of our stellar success to date. Celtra was not built around a single brilliant idea… We started with merely vision, passion, talent and a tremendous drive for creating the future - the perfect blend for disruption! We never questioned our ability to create something great, always believing in the power of our team to get us there. It has, since the beginning, been all about the mix of unique backgrounds, experiences, knowledge and strengths that build our team. In less than three years, Celtra grew from just a handful of people to a team of over ninety individuals, becoming a true force in mobile advertising. We are known as innovators, doers, and great people to work with. Our success is measured in the number of ads we deliver each month and we have come a long way from the initial couple of thousand impressions, recently crossing a 2 billion milestone, and are on the fast track to deliver over 3 billion ads in December!

2013 really has been the year of growing up, the tipping point in many significant ways. We have, for example, grown to a point where there is no longer a single person in the company that knows all other members of team Celtra, not even me. We opened new, expanded existing and relocated to bigger office spaces throughout the year. Most importantly, we have seen the company departments develop into proper teams with leaders, we have evolved into an organization with a much more defined management structure and have effectively expanded our executive and management teams through internal promotions and successful hiring.

2 3

Together, we have already accomplished so much and I could not be more proud of us as a team! Thank you for contributing and helping us to create this yearbook – it will hopefully stay with you as a tangible reminder of this extraordinary year, all of the challenges that we conquered, the fun that we had and the laughs that we shared. Congratulations for 2013 and Best Wishes for the New Year ahead of us!

Our partner network has grown to over 500 clients, covering all of the major media owners and mobile advertising ecosystem players on both sides of the Atlantic and we are excited to see how our recently announced Japan presence takes us even further. We already have clients spread across the globe, in over 30 countries - from US, EU and Japan to the Middle East and Australia. Celtra has truly grown into a global company, in every aspect of the word… global by talent and global in reach.

LE A DERSHIP “Looking at him you would never guess he is a CEO - he strolls in every day wearing jeans and seems so laid-back considering he is running a multi-million dollar company.” “Miha is a passionate visionary with all the common traits of a natural born leader.”

Miha Mikek

Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer

Sculptor

“When his eyes shine, he can move mountains.“ “We are all in good hands with you at the helm.”

“An interdisciplinary whiz, never short of brilliant ideas.” “The unique mixture of his perfume with the cigarettes scent for some reason makes his ideas sound even more appealing.” “He can see amazing things in a strategy diagram.” “Everyone wants to work with him, everyone wants to be his friend. Matevž is an inspiring, visionary storyteller with style!”

Matevž Klanjšek

Co-founder & Chief Product Officer

“What I love about Jaka above all is his brutal honesty. It doesn’t matter who you are, if what you’re saying doesn’t add up, he will call you out without hesitation!”

“She makes running in heels look easy, even when pregnant.” “With anything she is involved in, she always gets straight to the point and tells you exactly how she feels, which is something to be admired. She is very fashionable, ladylike and inappropriate all at once which makes her so loveable!”

Jaka Jančar

Chief Technology Officer

“When we started moving the product and engineering team to SF he said: the best thing about Celtra is that one day we talk about these big plans and a few weeks later, it somehow all becomes a reality.”

“The one and only!!! You rock!”

Maja Drolec Co-founder & VP Finance

Yearbook.indd 4

“A CTO that two years ago asked what would we would do with 10 engineers.”

“I admire Jaka for - being a genius aside - his dedication and willingness to help out anyone, in any given situation!”

Miha Mikek

Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer

The city of Boston is the birthplace of Celtra. It all started when Miha and Maja, two of our three cofounders, moved there in 2005 to obtain their MBA degrees. The city, which is home to some of the earliest mobile companies and is considered to be the center of the mobile industry, also provided Celtra with Series A funding. It is where we built our strongest professional network; most of our board members, lawyers, and some of the early believers and advisors come from Boston. It is also where the first US employees were hired. The Boston office serves as a strong operational functions hub; it’s the corporate headquarters to our CEO, Finance, Sales and Operations… Some of the biggest annual gettogethers, be it trainings or board meetings, are held there as well. The office culture can be described as a mix of “heads down, roll up your sleeves” attitudes and high-level strategizing. The end of 2013 brings another great milestone, as the team is about to move into its own office right in the heart of Boston after six memorable years at the Cambridge Innovation Center on MIT’s campus.

SAN FRANCISCO Opening an office in the heart of The City by the Bay marks a huge stepping-stone for Celtra as a direct result of a strategic and successful move of Team Product and part of Team Engineering from Ljubljana, Slovenia to San Francisco earlier this year. It has only been a few months, and both the product development and the team itself are thriving. They have grown considerably by adding a number of talented new members and quickly outgrew the initial office space. Team San Francisco is just now moving into a bigger, brighter new space, which means we need to start planning an office warming party soon!

NEW YORK

14 15

Located smack dab in the middle of New York City in Manhattan’s Flatiron District, Celtra’s new NYC office is home to Sales, Marketing, and Client Services teams. The office, like a microcosm of New York City itself, is infused with individuals from different backgrounds with rich experiences, diverse characteristics, and amazing stories to tell. Add all this up, and you get a really great team! It’s a group that has no trouble finding an excuse for some vegan cake and champagne, or the occasional game of pingpong in the office.

LJUBLJANA Ljubljana is both the home of Celtra’s founders and home to the company’s largest office, which now houses over 30 people and keeps on growing! It’s comprised of a remarkable mix of talented individuals, and hosts the majority of Engineering, Creative Services, and half of the Marketing team. Each year it grows a bit more, from a one-room office in Celtra’s early days to a large space that now takes up the whole floor of the building located in the city center of beautiful Ljubljana.

13/01/14 11:07

LOS ANGELES While Celtra’s sunny Los Angeles office is home to just two of our team members, they make up for the lack of size with hard work and dedication. West Coast Agency Sales are headed up here along with Account Management for our West Coast clients. They accomplish their work in style, too, literally right on Venice Beach! They always have an excuse for an after work drink on the deck overlooking the sand and ocean.

CHICAGO Chicago’s team of three is responsible for the entire Midwest agency sales clientele. Two Sales Directors and an Account Manager make up our Windy City squad. They have a great location, not far from the Chicago Harbor and beautiful Lake Michigan, but are looking to relocate soon. Kingston Mines in Lincoln Park is one of the team’s favorite spots. TE AM PRODUCT Such taste, such flavor! Once
more, a year’s worth of hard work and investment into improving
and planning the future of Celtra’s products has paid off in a fruitful harvest. Our customers have never been more excited to explore the richness and high value of our impeccably designed produce. Its consumption, measured and interpreted by the best analysts in the field, is by no means small potatoes either. If the passing year is any indication of what’s to come next, we can only hold on in expectation of even peachier times ahead.

TE A M BUSINES S DE V ELOPMENT The Business Development team is helping publishers to keep revenues on pace with mobile consumption. They are focused on enabling a “business in the front, party in the back” mix of pub and ad network partners that support Celtra’s formats and/ or use the AdCreator platform to build campaigns in-house. As Grant, the team leader, stretches his coverage to cover both coasts while managing ad network and technology partners in the APAC and South American regions, Patrick has become his trusted confidant to manage key publisher clients in New York. Erik, the final member of the trinity, provides needed support by qualifying new clients, helping manage the onboarding process, and overseeing growth in Canada.

TE A M M A RK E TING What an exciting year 2013 has been for the Marketing team! They’ve stepped up from product marketing by throwing communications and events into the mix and have truly shifted into higher gear. They are on a mission to create great content that’s always worth consuming and deliver beyond just beautiful designs. Driven by the desire to do more, bigger, and better, they support all the teams in an effort to elevate Celtra’s brand positioning and make Celtra’s presence stronger, while leaving a lasting impression... Sometimes, the only holdup is the fact that the days do not have enough hours. Despite many challenges, Marketing is proud to have successfully come together as a team, adding Torey’s great spirits on the events side and empowering the design team with the additions of Nigel and the talented student intern Marija. It does feel good to see that they not only touch so many teams with their work, but also leave a small mark... It is an achievement, after all, to have Jaka notice, point out, and demand that his new batch of business cards be printed by the production house that delivers higher quality print.

Now, the group of six makes up Celtra’s Finance department, taking on Finance, Operations, Legal, and Human Resources in offices throughout the US, UK, Slovenia, and Japan. “What we strive to be known as by the company is a dynamic team of executors who will solve all of your challenges and requests, however impossible they may be! We’ve got the will, the brainpower, and the force to help guide you through your financial and legal obstacles. We’ve got the compassion, the knowledge, and the leadership to help you through any human resource related issues. And we’ve
got a team of ladies, as strong as they come, who don’t like to be messed with! So be sure
to submit your expenses when they are due, get your IOs signed and in place so we can issue you commission, and please, when on business trips, treat Celtra’s wallet as if it was your own. We’ve got a multitude of facets, here to help whether you want to shine, dine, whine, or help put a client in line – we’re your girls.”
