Legislation:

As a general rule, in order to work in Korea legally, foreign nationals should have a proper work permit. With a study permit, foreign students can only work part-time with an approval from the Immigration Office of Korea. However, there are some constraints on the type of part-time work such as hours, wages, job descriptions etc. Visa policies are subject to change and may vary depending on nationalities. Thus, the students must contact the Immigration Office of Korea directly to check the relevant regulation.

Required documents:

Students with a study permit must fill out a ‘Part-time Work of Foreign Student Confirmation Form’ and have it signed by a program manager at KUBS International Office. You can download the form from www.hikorea.go.kr

Company support:

Generally, companies require the candidates to be legally eligible to work in Korea with no restrictions on traveling overseas.

For graduates:

Students graduating from schools in Korea, can change their study permit to another visa type to stay for a longer period and search for jobs after graduation.
