Legislation: As a general rule, in order to work in Korea legally, foreign nationals should have a proper work permit. With a study permit, foreign students can only work part-time with an approval from the Immigration Office of Korea. However, there are some constraints on the type of part-time work such as hours, wages, job descriptions etc. Visa policies are subject to change and may vary depending on nationalities. Required documents: Students with a study permit must fill out a ‘Part-time Work of Foreign Student Confirmation Form’ and have it signed by a program manager at KUBS International Office. You can download the form from www.hikorea.go.kr
Company support: Generally, companies require the candidates to be legally eligible to work in Korea with no restrictions on traveling overseas. For graduates: Students graduating from schools in Korea, can change their study permit to another visa type to stay for a longer period and search for jobs after graduation.
