Program history The Centenary Wrestling program was established as club team in 1994. Fall 2000 marked the first year as an NCAA varsity program. During the
past five years the program has seen significant growth and change. In January of 2010 a 3,928 sq. ft. state-of -the-art Wrestling facility was built. The team earned a National ranking in 2009 for the first time in program history and has climbed the National rankings three of the last five years. During the 2010 season, Centenary received their first ever NCAA AllAmerican and tripled that in the 2011 season. The team has been nominated as an NWCA Scholar All-Academic Team for five consecutive seasons while earning the honor of being a Scholar All-Academic Team three of those years including the 22nd best GPA (2009), the 17th Best GPA (2010), and the 10th Best GPA (2011). We are in search of Centenary’s first National Champion!
In the community The team is actively involved within their local communities with the following events: • Breast Cancer awareness walk • Shoveling snow for the residents of Hackettstown • Helping out the Tiger Wrestling Club youth program • Trinity Church Food Drive • Orientation Move-In Crew • Hosted St. Baldrick’s Foundation Shave for the Brave to raise money and awareness for pediatric cancer
