STELLAR SITE VISIT IN MAY A SUCCESS THANKS TO ALL WHO HELPED MAKE THE DAY STELLAR We’re happy to report that the Stellar Site Visit on May 14th was a great success. Fifteen state officials representing the Department of Transportation, the Housing and Community Development Authority, and the Indiana Office of Community & Rural Affairs visited Richmond and toured project sites in the Center City area of our city. “The most exciting thing was the way the community members, who told their stories, helped tie this all together,” said Tony Foster, city director of Metropolitan Development. “All of our speakers were able to give that personal connection to why they chose to make this community their home.” (as reported by Bill Engle on May 14th on www.pal-item.com) Center City, on behalf of the Stellar
Development Team, would like to thank everyone that helped make that day positively stellar! Thanks to those of you who tweeted, posted on Facebook, Instagram and Vine, helped create welcome videos, provided letters of support, attended City Council and Redevelopment Commission meetings to voice your support, and many other things along the way. We are proud to already be a Stellar Community because of our engaged, caring and committed community members like you! Keep your eyes peeled for more information about Richmond’s standings in the Stellar Communications Program. For more questions, please call Center City at 962-8151.
