3D: Beyond the Boundaries Catalog

Page 1

I’m thrilled to welcome you to 3D: Beyond the Boundaries. This exhibition explores threedimensional artwork from every conceivable angle, celebrating both traditional and innovative media. With classic materials such as bronze and stone, alongside innovative installations, sculptural textiles, and assemblage. I’m sure you’ll be inspired. When I created this show, my hope was that we could feature 3D artwork at its best. The show is designed to evoke joy, stir emotions, and challenge your perceptions. I invite you to take it all in.

In conjunction with this amazing exhibition, we are thrilled to present our first miniexhibition by one of CAE’s first resident studio artists, Tricia Rosenthal. Her exhibition, 3D to 2D: Evergreen Sculpture Portraits, showcases a remarkable series of 15 original oil paintings, each capturing the essence of beloved Evergreen sculptures on canvas. Tricia, inspired by her tenure as president of Sculpture Evergreen, has masterfully translated these public artworks into two-dimensional masterpieces. Her mini-exhibition is displayed in the newly rededicated Michael McGoldrick Executive Classroom, offering an intimate glimpse into Evergreen’s rich sculptural heritage.

As always, these exhibitions wouldn’t be possible without the dedication and elbow grease of our staff. I am always grateful for each of you! And thank you to our generous sponsors for their unwavering support in bringing these exhibitions to life: Lynn Westfall from RE/ MAX Alliance, Alexa Interiors and Mountain Home, and SCFD (Scientific and Cultural Facilities District).
