Abstract The Hybridmould 21 project was devised to develop an engineering solution for large plastic parts in small series, aiming at to consolidating the knowledge developed during the last decade in the field of hybrid moulds. Furthermore it was expected to acquire new knowledge to enhance the competitiveness of the companies involved. The
