Laugh. Despair. Hope. Love.

Be engaged by universal stories told in song. Be thrilled by the power of the human voice. The Barber of Seville, Rossini’s comic masterpiece. Thornton Wilder’s classic play Our Town, now transformed by music. Kern and Hammerstein’s groundbreaking Broadway hit musical Show Boat, running only in Denver—a precursor of more “city” performances throughout the year.

Join us for the 2013 Central City Opera Festival and be moved.

June 29 – August 11

You won’t know until you go.

Central City Opera 2013 Festival

2013

Festival Offerings Central City Opera is a musical and theatrical experience unlike any other. We have wowed audiences with world-class performances since 1932. Our jewel-box theatre is a National Historic Landmark and one of the most unique and intimate venues anywhere—with the Rocky Mountains and historic Central City as an unforgettable backdrop.

The Shows

The 2013 Festival offers the best of both worlds: two first-rate productions in the Central City Opera House, followed by Show Boat at the Denver Center for Performing Arts, featuring the same level of high caliber international artists, directors and designers you see each year in Central City.

An extraordinary celebration of Our Town, this progressive party is anything but ordinary! Visit historic Central City locales based on the three acts of Our Town. Enjoy a country fair with food, beer, wine and live music; a wedding reception complete with cake, champagne and special performances; and a finale you won’t forget!

Visit CentralCityOpera.org or call 303.292.6700 to get info, pricing and tickets. Advance tickets highly recommended. Refer to included schedule for dates/times.
