WHO WE ARE
TO TEACHERS AND STUDENTS OF ALL AGES: This school year is going to be different. But what will not change is our commitment to you. We are here to educate and entertain; to open your world to the grand art form of opera and all its storytelling power. We are here to inspire students to pursue careers in the performing arts – on and offstage – as well as attend performances in the future. We are here to teach the living history of Central City, Colorado. We are here with stories that sing. We understand that budgets are tight. The global pandemic has made budgets even tighter. We are dedicated to paying our Teaching and Performing Artists a fair fee for their work, virtually or in-person, and because of generous support from donors, we are able to offer scholarships to subsidize the cost of our education programs. We have free programs available now, and if you see a program you would like to bring to your students but are wondering about the cost, please contact us to discuss options. Programs can be customized to your needs. We are here to support you and your students and make sure that everyone has access to great art. In this most challenging time, we wish you well and thank you for your continued interest in Central City Opera. Sincerely, Emily Murdock Director of Education Central City Opera
