Selling Lawn Mowers 1. Always recommend reading the Owner’s Manual. 2. Start from the ground level and work your way up. 3. Fold handles back and tighten handle knobs (Verify all cables are properly routed on the mower handle). 4. Ensure spark plug is connected. 5. Set height adjusters...Regarding quick-pin adjusters, demonstrate one-finger engagement noting numbered settings. Discuss the optimal height setting depending on turf type/seasonal mowing conditions.
6. Explain correct OIL FILL PROCEDURE and tips regarding gas, air filter, starter cord, proper engine priming and throttle control (if applicable). 7. Demonstrate grass bag fitup and removal ensure action of door prop feature on new 22" models noting that rear door will stay open and close when lever is engaged. Demonstrate Posi-Lock bag attachment. 8. Discuss propelled mechanism (if applicable) - multiple types so be familiar with the different systems. 9. Demonstrate locking mulch cover (where applicable). Discuss integrated mulch plug on rear door highlighting ease of changing mowing options.
