iCARE is a lifestyle & institution that incorporates the need for changing social norms that have led to destructive behaviors and perpetuated significant collateral damage within Black America. Establishing the following goals are essential; personal development, parental accountability, and demonstrating unique images for our children to identify with so they can maximize their full potential. We will bridge the relationship gap with seniors and the younger generation, and dive into nutrition, diet, and eating habits. Keys to success and objectives are cultural awareness & education, economic growth & economic development, and health care & awareness. Chocolate Times is an editorial brought to you from the views of Mr. Rob Pollard and solely him, here along with some Phenomenal Black People in the city of Reading and beyond we will discuss the tools needed to correct cultural norms that effect OUR quality of life. It is going to take a strong commitment from all of US to unite and see to it our future is preserved, our past in remembered, and our present is reinvented. Chocolate Times is based on a principal we ALL support each other and patronize each others place of business. Economics is a vital component in ensuring the circulation of the Black Dollar stays within OUR community atleast 3-5 times before it leaves. To see this is met we will list places of employment, places of ownership, and contact info for those who freelance skilled trades that are beneficial to our community as a whole. Each month we will bring awareness to social issues effecting our community but more importantly solidifying procedures to bring about positive results, all the while paying tribute to those who trail blaze and paved the way, and also highlight Phenomenal Black People in our city who embody the core values of iCARE & Chocolate Times! Justice for all By Any Means Necessary!!
''That was some melodramatic s---!'' So says Quentin, the bachelor troublemaker played by Terrence Howard in "The Best Man Holiday." He's talking about one of the film's many heated, if not hysterical, fights, but he might be describing the movie as a whole. Back in 1999 "The Best Man" was an outrageously fresh comedy of love and backbiting, and not just because it marked Hollywood's belated discovery that characters could be upscale and African-American at the same time. EW: Box office preview - 'The Best Man Holiday' won't best 'Thor' The movie had wit, verve, spark, and surprise. But writerdirector Malcolm D. Lee shouldn't have waited 14 years to do a sequel. "The Best Man Holiday" reunites the characters for a Christmas-weekend house party, and what ensues is like a better-written Tyler Perry movie: too many life crises rooted in too much recycled backstory.
