Jokes

We apologize if you found any of the jokes to be crude or offensive. We also apologize for you not having any sense of humor and for being so damn uptight. Jeez, they’re only jokes.

A completely inebriated man was stumbling down the street with one foot on the curb and one foot in the gutter. A cop pulled up and said, "I've got to take you in, pal. You're obviously drunk." Our wasted friend asked, "Officer, are ya absolutely sure I'm drunk?" "Yeah, buddy, I'm sure," said the copper. "Let's go." Breathing a sigh of relief, the wino said, "Thank goodness, I thought I was crippled." There was this guy at a bar, just looking at his drink. He stays like that for half of an hour. Then, this big trouble-making truck driver steps next to him, takes the drink from the guy, and just drinks it all down. The poor man starts crying. The truck driver says, "Come on man, I was just joking. Here, I'll buy you another drink. I just can't stand to see a man cry." "No, it's not that. This day is the worst of my life. First, I fall asleep, and I go late to my office. My boss, outrageous, fires me. When I leave the building, to my car, I found out it was stolen. The police said that they can do nothing. I get a cab to return home, and when I leave it, I remember I left my wallet and credit cards there. The cab driver just drives away." "I go home, and when I get there, I find my wife in bed with the gardener. I leave home, and come to this bar. And just when I was thinking about putting an end to my life, you show up and drink my poison." Two women friends had gone out for a Girls Night Out, and had been decidedly over-enthusiastic on the cocktails. Incredibly drunk and walking home they suddenly realized they both needed to pee. They were very near a graveyard and one of them suggested they do their business behind a headstone or something. The first woman had nothing to wipe with so she took off her panties, used them and threw them away. Her friend however was wearing an expensive underwear set and didn't want to ruin hers, but was lucky enough to salvage a large ribbon from a wreath that was on a grave and proceeded to wipe herself with it. After finishing, they made their way home. The next day the first woman's husband phones the other husband and said, "These damn girls nights out have got to stop. My wife came home last night without her panties." "That's nothing," said the other. "Mine came back with a sympathy card stuck between the cheeks of her butt that said, 'From all of us at the Fire Station, Well never forget you!' A hobo comes up to the front door of a neat looking farmhouse and raps gently on the door. When the farm owner answers, the hobo asks him, "Please, sir, could you give me something to eat? I haven't had a good meal in several days." The owner says, "I have made a fortune in my lifetime by supplying goods for people. I've never given anything away for nothing. However, if you go around the back, you will see a gallon of paint and a clean paint brush. If you will paint my porch, I will give you a good meal." So the hobo goes around back and a while later he again knocks on the door. The owner says, "Finished already? Good. Come on in. Sit down. The cook will bring your meal right in." The hobo says, "Thank you very much, sir. But there's something that I think you should know. It's not a Porsche you got there. It's a BMW." Two high school sweethearts who went out together for four years in high school were both virgins; they enjoyed losing their virginity with each other in 10th grade. When they graduated, they wanted to both go to the same college but the girl was accepted to a college on the east coast, and the guy went to the west coast. They agreed to be faithful to each other and spend anytime they could together. As time went on, the guy would call the girl and she would never be home, and when he wrote, she would take weeks to return the letters. Even when he emailed her, she took days to return his messages. Finally, she confessed to him she wanted to date around. He didn't take this very well and increased his calls, letters, and emails trying to win back her love. Because she became annoyed, and now had a new boyfriend, she wanted to get him off her back. So, what she did is this: she took a Polaroid picture of her sucking her new boyfriend's cock and sent it to her old boyfriend with a note reading, "I found a new boyfriend, leave me alone." Well, needless to say, this guy was heartbroken but, even more so, was pissed. So, what he did next was awesome. He wrote on the back of the photo the following, "Dear Mom and Dad, having a great time at college, please send more money!" and mailed the picture to her parents.

On Tour: Wayne Lozinak of Hatebreed Interview and Photos by Nicole Stella Hatebreed can be seen as one of the most influential bands in the hardcore genre, surviving over a decade. Many bands list Hatebreed as an inspiration and follow in their footsteps with the music they're making. For this reason, I was extremely fortunate to be able to meet up with their original guitarist Wayne Lozinak before the show started. N.S.

PI: How is Stillborn Fest going so far? Have you enjoyed playing with Four Year Strong? WL: Actually, Four Year Strong hasn't played yet because there are different bands on each show, so this will be the first time, so I'll find out tonight. This is only the second show of Stillborn Fest. Last night was pretty rushed, we got there late because we were stuck in the snow so we basically got there just in time to play on A Life Once Lost's gear, we did the show and it was over.

07/16/10

PI: Are you excited to play with Four Year Strong? WL: I am excited, it should be good. PI: Do you prefer playing smaller shows such as this or larger festivals like Mayhem and Ozzfest? WL: I like them both. The smaller ones are good because they're right on stage so you feel like the audience is part of the show. But the bigger festivals are great too because here are so many people jumping up and down, singing the words, and there's always a good PA system. PI: Tell us a little about your personal style of playing. Who are your personal influences? WL: My personal influences are Randy Rhoads, James Hetfield, Kirk Hammet and Zakk Wylde, even though you probably can't tell any of that in this music we're playing, but that's what started it all with me playing guitar.

Wayne Lozinak

PI: Do you try to evolve your style or do you try to remain solid? WL: We tour so much and I'm always on the road so there's not really too much time to really change up anything. I pretty much stay solid right now. Sometimes when I'm home I'll try stuff out, but basically I stay solid. PI: What does Hatebreed's writing process look like and when do you get involved? WL: It's actually mostly Jamey writing the music, which I don't know if people know or not but Jamey writes most of the music. (Chris) Beatty writes some of it too but it's mostly Jamey. Then usually in the studio, Jamey will show me the riffs or sometimes hums out what he wants them to sound like and then I'll play it. PI: So you're just along for the ride? WL: Yeah. The couple of solos on the newest album which Hatebreed hasn't done on previous albums but that's about it, so far.

PI: What is currently on your iPod that you would be embarrassed about if anyone was to find out? Even though they're going to find out about it now. WL: I'm not really embarrassed about it but I do have Beyonce and Rhianna. I think they're great. Some people might find it embarrassing FOR me that I'm saying this but I'm not embarrassed. That would just be something different that people probably wouldn't expect. PI: When you get time off of tour, are you always playing your guitar or do you try to stay away from it and do something else that's not related to music? WL: I'm always playing my guitar. I'm not so intense with it but it's always in the room, even if I’m such sitting on my couch watching TV playing along or practicing every now and then. PI: Which kind of goes into my next question... What do you do with your personal free time, both on tour and off? WL: Personal free time? Not too much. Relax because I'm on tour so much. PI: What about on tour? When you have dead time before you play, what do you do? WL: Basically walk around, try to find a Starbucks or something to eat. Or I usually just bug the crew all day while they're trying to set up gear... so nothing too exciting. PI: If you were not involved in music, what could you see yourself doing as a career? WL: Well I used to drive a coffee truck before this, which are those things that go to job sites and stuff like that, so that would be the only thing I could think of.

Wayne Lozinak

PI: What are Hatebreed's plans for the New Year? WL: Well we wanted to start writing for the new CD, nothing has been started yet though. We also have summer and spring festivals coming up in Europe and other than that, not too much. This is actually going to be the first break for us. We have January and February off and we haven't had off in a long time so we need a little bit of a break. PI: What about you, what are your personal goals for 2011? WL: To hopefully keep bringing good music to the people so they keep coming back to the shows... keep everyone happy. PI: Do you have any words for the Plug'd In readers? WL: Thank you all for coming and supporting Hatebreed.

Impact: Scott Wily of Vital Remains Interview and Photos by Nicole Marie With the rising and falling of many metal bands these days, Vital Remains has really stood their ground. An amazing Death/Black Metal band reigning from Providence, RI. Vital Remains has been and still is a huge metal family favorite. During their winter tour with Cannibal Corpse and Dying Fetus, I was lucky enough to sit down with the band’s lead vocalist Scott Wily for an exclusive Plug’d In interview. N.M. PI: Scott, how’s tour going so far? SW: This tour right now with Cannibal Corpse is going absolutely insane! It’s definitely one of the greatest tours we have ever done. PI: With Cannibal Corpse being a big inspiration in this genre, who would you say are your, or the band’s inspirations? SW: Well as a matter of fact, Cannibal Corpse is a big inspiration of mine, along with bands like; Deicide, Behemoth, Venom, Cancer, Death, Obituary, Bathory, Morbid Angel, also there’s a lot of influences of ours from the Black Metal genre, like Emperor, Satyricon, Darkthrone, Enthroned, Dimmu Borgir, and Setherial. My number one influence is Iron Maiden. I’ve always come back to my dark or black metal roots for inspiration, and being on tour with Cannibal Corpse is like a reawakening back to my roots, touring with them brings me back to my true love of death metal, and how pure it is, and how brutal it is, you know what I mean, its like HELL YEA! PI: So, how did you come to join Vital Remains and when? SW: Wow, let’s see, I first auditioned for Vital Remains in 1996, when I was hangin out with my buddy Lee, who at that time was their manager, I lived right down the street from him in Worcester, Massachusetts, I was hanging out and he put me on the spot that Vital needed a guitarist and said show me how you can play lead guitar, but I never got the gig back then. In 2006 I auditioned for vocals, and that’s when I started. Then I couldn’t get my passport for Canada in 2007 so unfortunately I couldn’t be with them on that tour, and you know, they say you never get second chances, but with this band I was lucky enough to be there at the right times. I really am so thankful to be a part of Vital Remains. (PI) Just not when they go to Canada. (SW) Haha fuck yea, maybe someday those bastards will let me in, hopefully, haha.

Scott Wily

PI: Can you tell us a little bit about the last album you put out? Are you currently touring for that album? SW: Icons of Evil was the last album Vital Remains put out and recorded with Glen Benton (Deicide), and that was in 2007. I’m currently working on the new album, and Glen might be doing something on that album with us. We'll see what happens when we are in the studio. I’ve been writing, with Tony Lazaro (the band’s guitarist and only original band member), and the rest of the guys, and it’s really a great process. This new album is going to be fucking brutal as hell. It’s going to be in the original Vital Remains traditions. And I’ll tell you, our fans WILL NOT be disappointed.

PI: Can you give us a hint of what fans should expect for the new album? SW: Well, I’m going to keep it mysterious for now, but I’ll say it’s going to have a very strong Black Metal vibe, and you can expect some very old school Vital Remains from the older albums like Forever Underground, Into Cold Darkness and Dawn of the Apocalypse. Of course you can expect a continuation of Dechristianize and Icons of Evil on this new product. But we’re definitely taking it to the next level of the brutal crushing death metal machine that we are. PI: So, how do you feel about your current line up right now? SW: I feel great about our current line up! Especially our awesome bass player, Gator! He has stuck with this band when we first, actually, when Tony first re-vamped the line up. I mean after Suzuki left the band; it was a time when people were having a lot of doubts about the band. I knew we were up for a very strong fight to win over all of the fans who had their doubts. It took a few years and I feel I have grown much better as a front man and vocalist. I'm very confident that Vital Remains will smash through every last one of our enemy's and prove to the world that the band is stronger than ever. PI: How do you divide up the process of making an album? Like the writing and music process? SW: Well Tony has always written all the music for Vital Remains. He is and has been the main driving force of this band since the beginning, even before Dave Suzuki joined the band. You know if it wasn’t for Tony, there would have never been a Dave Suzuki, and you know, this is for real, he definitely makes this band what it is. Tony is the only person in this world that gets my full respect and gratitude because he brought me out of hell and showed me the world. He keeps you going, he keeps you focused. If it wasn’t for Tony, I wouldn’t be who I am today. Suzuki would never have become the man he was if it wasn’t for Tony. He is the driving force for Vital Remains, and he’s not going to stop this machine for anything. He keeps it going, and we are all here to do the best we can to keep this death metal machine brutal as hell. (PI) It’s awesome the respect you have for Tony, and it really is important for your fans to know the true story behind your band. (SW) Exactly.

Tony Lazaro

PI: Changing subjects, where would you say some of the inspiration for your songs comes from? (Band response): THE DEVIL! Haha. (SW) Haha yes! I would definitely say it’s from the dark side of a very satanic atmosphere. PI: If you could describe your life right now in 4 words, what would they be? SW: Old. School. Death. Metal. Haha, because you know, I’m old, I’m going to school, and I love Death Metal. (PI) Haha, amazing answer.

Vital Remains

PI: If you weren’t in music right now, what could you see yourself doing? SW: Nothing! I could see myself being dead. It there wasn’t music there would be nothing. That’s it! Haha. PI: So what’s next for Vital Remains?

SW: What’s next is the new album. And a European tour as soon as the new album comes out. We plan on coming out doing a full US headlining tour. (PI) Can you tell us when this tour is going to happen? (SW) Pretty much as soon as we finish the album, we don’t know exactly when yet. We’re still in limbo here. But, hopefully by the summer, that’s the goal right now. PI: Well thank you so much Scott for sitting’ down with Plug’d In. You guys are awesome. SW: Anytime, you’re very welcome! PI: Do you have any final words for us? SW: Yes. To all our kind: Start stacking weapons and ammo as well as tools, food, water and oil for the Machines of War because the shit storm's coming soon! Hale Mefisto!

Dear Dead Abby From The Grave Abby was born and raised in the coal regions of Northeastern Pennsylvania. The oldest of eight, she constantly had her younger brothers and sisters asking her questions about everything from how things work to why that boy threw dirt on her. She’d try to steer them straight with her advice, though sometimes she could be a bit sarcastic. Abby also had an uncanny ability to see the truth in people, despite what they tried to portray with their lies. Unfortunately, this led the locals to believe that she was with surrounded with dark forces. The summer before her final year of school, Abby was sentenced to death by hanging, without a proper trial, simply stating that she was a witch. Abby can’t recognize the faces of her family through death, but she answers questions, thinking it might be one of her siblings needing her guidance. Q. My Ex-Girlfriend is dating my other Ex-Girlfriends Ex-Boyfriend. Is this weird? M.D. A. Different strokes for different folks. No, I would not say this is weird. Perhaps your brain just isn't capable of fathoming such a thing. Q. My cousin is coming to stay with us for a while. I don’t like her at all. She borrows my stuff without asking all the time, gets into trouble, and just gives me a hard time. On top of that she has to share my room and go to my school. How can I get thru this without killing her? S.M. A. Tolerate her just like you would a sibling. Mention it to your parents. If they don't believe you, attain proof. This is something your parents have decided to do, perhaps thinking she needs help and guidance. Maybe they are hoping you'll be a good influence on her. Try talking to your cousin about it as well. Communication is key in everything. If the other person isn't aware of the problem, or what the problem is, how are they going to solve it? Q. Which came first. The chicken or the egg? F.L. A. The chicken. Q. I got back with my boyfriend after being broken up for over a year. We broke up because he cheated on me. He’s been great since he's been back, but I’m still finding it hard to trust him. What do I do? B.G. A. Once a cheater always a cheater. It doesn't matter why a person cheated, whether they were angry, bored with the relationship, or the opportunity just presented itself. Once trust is broken in a relationship, there is no going back. Even if he "proves himself" to you, there will always be doubts in your mind. It just depends on whether you want to live with the constant doubt in your mind. In my opinion, you shouldn't have gotten back with him in the first place. If he's going to cheat on you like that and you're willing to take him back, he doesn't deserve you. Q. My girlfriend is crazy and tries to hit me all the time. I don’t want to hit her back, but sometimes she just won’t stop. Is it ok if I hit her back to get her to stop? A.B. A. Why does she hit you? People don't hit someone for no reason. Perhaps you are provoking her. Have you ever thought of talking to her about it? Find out her reasoning behind it? See if it can be worked out somehow? No, it is not ok to hit her. There is no reason in this world that would justify hitting a woman, and the men who do aren't men; they are cowards. They should be locked up and tortured.

Spotlight: Its All The Rage Hair Designs Interview and Photos by Michael Demos I love It’s All The Rage Hair Designs. It’s such a fun place and the girls there are the coolest in town. Anytime I stop by it takes me forever to get out of there because the conversation is so damn good. It’s not hard to bump into someone who goes there and everyone has given it the best review. But don’t just take my word for it, stop by and check it out for yourself. We had a moment and sat down with owner Liz Goos and she filled us in on what’s going on at Its All The Rage Hair Designs. Here’s what she had to say…M.D. PI: How long has Its All The Rage been around? LG: It will be 6 years in June and the Pole Fitness studio will be a year in March. PI: How did you start this place? LG: I worked for a guy who was really nice, but honestly he was fucking nuts (laughs). I ended up leaving the place and my clients came along with me. It was a huge jump coming to own this place. It was fairly easy to open the place, but we did have to redo the whole building. It used to be a hair salon, but a really old one. Everything was lime green, neon yellow, and white. It was just terrible. We pretty much stripped everything. Last year we did another remodel and updated all the cabinets and did all the floors. Last year we had a grand reopening and we did a big fundraiser with the Reading Railroad in memory of my Dad. PI: What kind of clientele do you have? LG: We have a lot of fun people. We have a lot of younger people. Even the older people who come in, they come in because they enjoy our craziness. PI: What type of products and services do you offer here? LG: We have the Brazilian Keratin Treatment. I believe we’re the only salon in Berks County that does all the crazy fashion colors like purples, teals, pinks, and whatnot. We do micro extensions. We pretty much do everything. I also believe we’re the only non oriental nail salon that does solar nails. Solar nails are custom acrylic and you can customize any design you want. It doesn’t chip and doesn’t break away. PI: How many people work at Its All The Rage? LG: Right now there is 6 of us and 2 crazy handymen. I’m the owner and try not to do too much (laughs) cause that’s Carrie’s job. Carrie is a Color Specialist and Nail Specialist. Erin is a Color Specialist, Stylist, and does nails as well. Sarah is a stylist. Alicia is our assistant and is soon to come behind the chair in 2 weeks. Rosie is a stylist who does some pretty killer up-do’s. She has been doing hair since we opened.

PI: How well does your staff get along? LG: It’s a riot! We goof on each other, hide things from each other, and just have a good time. We all go out together sometimes after work for drinks. We are fun and adventurous ladies. PI: Tell us a little about your personal hobbies Liz. LG: Outside of here I go to horror conventions and I go to the gun range. I love old school Slasher movies. I love guns! I bought my first one about a year ago and now I have a lot (laughs). I love shooting and I love going to the range. The guys there are so much fun. I also try to work out in the Pole Studio when I get a chance. PI: Can you tell us a little about the Pole Studio? LG: It’s not raunchy, it’s not dirty…It’s a great workout and it’s really fun. It’s also a really great workout. Most classes are an hour and we start out with pushups, lunges, stretching, toning. The last half we work out on the pole. The pole is where most of your workout comes into play. I had no idea what it takes to do it. When you leave you are bruised up and worked out (laughs). There’s a lot of advantages to the pole fitness workout versus a gym membership. First of all it’s totally private. It’s either you and a friend and the instructor or just you and the instructor. You don’t have to worry about who’s looking at me or anything. It’s completely up to you and what you want to do. We have weights, balance balls, and pretty much whatever you need to get your workout done. It is an extremely effective workout and time well spent. Since I’ve done the workouts I’ve had better balance, I’m stronger, more graceful, and I’ve lost weight. We offer the Pole Fitness as an extra service through the Salon and they can book their appointment here or by phone. PI: Liz, thanks for sitting down with us and giving us a chance to get Plug’d In. LG: Anytime. Thank you very much!

This Is: Jonathan

Vigil of

The Ghost Inside Interview and Photos by Liana Marie The Ghost Inside tore up the stage. The enthusiasm as the kids grabbed the microphone and sang along was incredible. During the show Vigil mentioned the band For Today. He continued to explain that they’re some of his good friends and that they are a very Christian band, as The Ghost Inside is not. The point he ended up making was that it is okay if you don’t agree with their religious views but respect them anyway. Respect them, for their music as they are talented individuals. If you don’t agree with their religious views, fine. But don’t hold that against them. Just support them as you would any of your favorite bands. Enjoy their music and have a good time! I agree with Vigil’s opinion completely. After the show I found myself squeezing into their tour van. I appreciate the time they took to chat with me regardless of the fact that they were in a hurry to get going, as it’s been a long day for them. They were real cool guys; a lot of fun. Here’s what they had to share with us L.M. PI: Let’s start out by naming each member and their role in the band. V: Each member? (PI) And their role in the band. (V) Kevin plays drums. Zachary Johnson plays the Geetar. James Paul Riley plays the bassoon. Aaron Brooks plays guitar. And I am thee lead vocalist. PI: Okay. What’s the story behind The Ghost Inside? How did it come about? V: We used to be a band called, “Dying Dream.” We got different band members over the course of time. We then decided to change our name and write new stuff. And eventually became The Ghost Inside.

Jonathan Vigil

PI: Is there any significance behind the title of your band? If so, what would that be? V: Absolutely, not. We had about 50 names, and that was the only one that stuck. It’s a band name. It sucks picking band names. PI: When you were younger did you image you'd be where you are today? Did you have other plans? Were you going be a doctor or lawyer? V: Actually, no, this is honestly really all I’ve ever wanted to do. It’s pretty cool to be able to do it, make a living out of it and tour the world. PI: How long would you say you've all known each other and how did you meet? V: Oh shit, that's gonna be a long question. This is a story. We, okay, wow. A dying dream toured and played Arizona where KC and Aaron are from so I knew them from that time. We heard them and then we had other members. We got Zach, I filled in for a band called To Pure to Die and I knew Zach from that and just through mutual friends from touring we knew Jim in his old band so that's how we all met up. We're all actually from different places. Jim's from Boston. Zach is from Iowa. Aaron and KC are from Arizona, I'm from California. It's just touring over time and you just meet people who are dedicated and who are not dedicated. People before weren't dedicated but, we have five dedicated people now! So it worked out.

PI: Great! What genre of music would you say your band is for those who don’t know or haven’t heard you before? V: Heavy Melodic Hardcore. PI: Okay. Which one of your songs would you say you enjoy performing live the most? V: Probably like “Chrono”. It's one of my favorite songs that we wrote. I get into it a lot. It's I don’t know... It's fun. PI: Is there any band that you haven't played with that you'd like to play with in the future and if so who would that be? V: We're playing with one of our favorite bands NOFX at Roserock festival in Belgium on our European tour in April who is also with a band called Comeback Kid who we haven't toured with but who is a big influence on our band. Killing two birds with one stone there. We've actually been lucky to tour with a lot of our favorite bands and a lot of bands that have influenced us. Works out. PI: Awesome. So put together your ultimate tour... What bands would you include? V: NOFX. Metallica. Nickleback. (KC) 18 Visions (V) Ke$ha. 18 Visions and Katy Perry. And Katy Perry; just to be there. Because she's hot. Her music is good too but she's so hot. God damn, she's hot. Katy Perry will you marry me, please? (Z) (slap) (V) I said 18 Visions! OH! and Hatebreed too, sorry.....What?! (Z) [evil looks] I’m about to knock you out... The Starting Line!! (V) I can't believe I fucked that one up! Oh man. The Starting Line. Definitely. (Z) You are so out. I'm done. .... that tattoo... (V) Don't say that! I have it.. (A) You have his INITIALS tattooed.. (Z) We are going to a tattoo removal place and you're getting it out. (V) Don't say that.. (Z) I'm cuttin’ it out. Gang style tonight. Fucking Bullshit. PI: What would you say one of your biggest challenges as a band has been? How did you overcome it? Z: THAT! (V) I don’t know. Just being on tour with six other people 24/7. You have to learn what other people like and don't like, what to say what not to say, what to stay away from...etc. That's the hardest part of touring for a lot of bands. But, I don’t know. We've been touring for so long we all know when to knock it off, when to just chill out. Yeah. Just be... (A) Or when you go nuts just to watch someone get.... it happens rarely, when it does its great. PI: Awesome, Alright. So if you could describe your band as a sitcom or television show what would it be and why? KC& V: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. (PI) Really? Why’s that? (V) Cause that show is awesome and we all are like that. We all have different characteristics. (J) Who is Who? (V) I think Zach would probably be Charlie. Dennis would probably be...Aaron. Frank would be KC. Mac would be... (KC) I think Zach is more Mac.. (A) Zach would be Sweet Dee. (V) No. I don’t know. (Z) I'm not a broad. (KC) You're the most broad out of all of us. (Z) That's true. (V) I don’t know. That show is awesome. Watch it if you haven't seen it. (KC) ...and Bryan is GreenMan. (V) Brian is GreenMan. (Bryan TM) Real fuckin’ cool.... (A) You could be the waitress..That would be way worse...(Bryan TM) That's some bullshit..That all fucking sucks. PI: What are you currently listening to? V: Push play, Jim. See what's in there. (J) Ah! You Me At Six, Nickleback...and Katy Perry. (V) For real, we could sing every Katy Perry line right now. PI: So what would you say your specific musical inspirations and influences would be? V: Umm. I don’t know. We all listen to really different music so... (PI) Like, as a band, what music... (V) As a band? (KC) There's only one band we all agree on... (V) What band's that? (KC) NOFX. (V) Yeah I mean but, NOFX we all grew up with... but it doesn’t affect our music. (J) Misery Signals. (V) The bands that made our music what it is are: A mixture of us listening to Bury Your Dead, Misery Signals and Comeback Kid. We all used elements from all those bands that we all grew up listening to. It just kind of works. We've been lucky. PI: Sweet. What advice would you give to those out there just starting out or who want to be in a successful band such as yourselves? V: Just don’t give up. Dedication. It takes a lot of sacrifice to be in the position that we're in. We're still clawing and kicking our way up there. We've had some pretty good breaks but... just dedication. Just knowing that it will work out and that it will come to you.

PI: Do you think it will meet your expectations? V: I mean from what we saw, it looked pretty cool. It's gonna be a pretty ... funny cool pretty good video. The performance scene was pretty fun to shoot. We did some random acting parts. I got my head dunked in water and sang underwater. I sang under a fishtank, so it's gonna be pretty cool. You'll see it in a little bit.

Jonathan Vigil

PI: I'm aware that you shot a music video today... Would you mind me asking what song it was for? V: it was for “Chrono.”

PI: Yeah. When and where would you say we could check that out? V: It's not going to be out for a while. Probably 2011sometime. PI: Are you pleased with the way your latest album, “Returners” turned out? Is there anything you would have changed or done differently? V: No, I think it sounds great. I think we put a lot of work into the songs and it came out cool. The only thing personally is, I blew my voice out when I was first singing so; I had to take a couple days off. I know I could have done the vocals better, but that's just something that I think only I would really hear. I just feel like it's 70% when it could have been 100. I'm still pleased with the record. I think the record sounds good. PI: What else could we expect from The Ghost Inside in the future? V: Just touring. Not going to stop touring. We're booked until summer.. after summer pretty much. (KC) Chad Kroger. (V) Chad Kroger. (A) Yeah we want to record with Nickleback. So, if you know Chad Kroger, send us his email. (V) It's not even a joke. We actually think Nickleback songs sound unreal. We wanna sound like that. So, Chad Kroger, Sup? PI: Any last words or any additional information you’d like to share with your fans? V: Thanks for coming to shows and hanging out and... (Z) Adding me on Facebook. (V) They always give me shit because I accept everyone that adds me on Facebook. (Z) Great! Tell the world! (V) Yeah, they give me a hard time. But thanks for adding me on Facebook. Yeah, just thanks for being a part of what we do; what we love. (KC) "You're part of this.” PI: Well thanks for taking the time to hang out. And more importantly giving us a chance to get Plug’d in. V: For sure!

From The Throne of The Rock God Rants, Raves, Reviews, and News for the Minions We kicked off the New Year in style with our Super-Sized web only zine. The feedback we got was great, but we also got a lot of complaints. I cant begin to tell you how many people said “Why didn't you print that issue? It was so cool!” Well let me tell you, this shit is expensive! Our issue was 70 pages and I don't want to even begin to tell you how much it would cost to put that out. Trust me, it would sink our budget. We even had some people who were worried we had gone out of print. Like I always say “Make sure you check the damn website!” All the info you need is up there. You can even link to our other promotional sites like Facebook and MySpace. Anyways, we didn't go out of print as you know now, we just releases a super huge issue on the web. It might even turn into an annual thing. We will see how that works out. Next issue we are going to be featuring more Local Bands. We love our local scene and really want to know wat bands you like. Drop us a line and tell us about your favorites. Each issue we will feature a band from the region who is really making strides and doing their thing. Even though we focus on the National acts that come through our area, we still feel its important to showcase some of the great talent Central Pa. has to offer. You never know, someday they might be that massive headliner coming to rock your favorite club or stadium. Until next time...
