Centre for Trauma Sciences

The Barts Centre for Trauma Sciences is a research institute that focuses on the immediate post-injury phase, including the pathophysiology of injury and developing pathways to ensure the translation of research into practice and into policy. Our research streams deliver impactful research in areas of highest clinical need, namely bleeding, brain injury, organ failure and infection. World class research is coupled with developing international education and dissemination programmes to improve care and outcomes of trauma patients worldwide.
