Overview
Data released by the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (REINZ) shows that for the three months ending in August 2024, there were a total of 90 lifestyle property sales in the Manawatū, with a median sale price of $845,000 and a total sales volume of $67,990,000 for the quarter.
Compared to the previous quarter, the median days to sell remained at 89 days.
Nationally, the median sale price for lifestyle properties was $955,000, with a total of 4,120 lifestyle property sales recorded for the quarter.
What’s happening in our market?
The lifestyle property market remains active, with monthly sales numbers showing fluctuations, but the median sale price staying relatively steady and on the rise. In October 2024, the national median price for lifestyle properties was $960,000. As the residential property market improves across much of New Zealand, we anticipate continued growth in buyer interest within the lifestyle sector in the coming months
