Year 7 Big Questions

An alternative for the last year of primary, Term 1 and 2 focus on God and Jesus, who they are, what they have done and what this means for people today. Terms 3 and 4 study what it means to be a Christian and how Christians should deal with today’s problems.

Years 6–7 Connect Cycle B

Covers the same passages as Stage 1 but at a Stage 3 learning level.

Term 1 studies Jesus’ life from Luke’s Gospel, continually asking, ‘Who is Jesus?’ as his teaching and healing point to the revelation that he is the fulfilment of all God’s promises. Term 2 looks at the promises made to Abraham and shows how these promises were ultimately given to all people through Jesus. Term 3 looks at the promises given to Moses and Joshua and shows how they are fulfilled in Jesus and are for all people at all time. Term 4 looks at the Christian gospel through Romans showing that we cannot earn God’s favour, rather it is a gift given freely through faith in Jesus, God’s risen Son.
