hOw do yOu know? How do you know he is…the one? You may have been asked this question by your parents, your friends, even yourself. The answer isn’t always perfectly clear; he may or may not be ‘ideal’ on paper; you may have known him for only two months or perhaps you’ve been hanging in there a good five years; he may be a cowboy while you were visualizing a business man. The so-called ‘signs’ aren’t always there, but somehow, you just know. At Ceremony, we feel the same way about our Great List of vendors that we recommend. We take this vendor collective very seriously, which is why we don’t put arbitrary consideration requirements in an antiquated form. We don’t have a scholastic checklist to help us come up with an ‘A’ grade. We don’t even have a job application type form to fill out. You see, when it comes to choosing our Great List of recommended vendors, we believe there is no specific formula for choosing who we invite to join our family. Probably not unlike you, we take a look-see at Facebook, we inquire with their friends and colleagues and, most importantly, we get to know them by social networking the old-fashioned way (in person). In the end, we go with our gut. We just…know. You will find that some of these recommended vendors have refined their businesses over the past twenty years, while others bring fresh ideas after having recently started their own businesses. Many of our recommended venues are on the AAA Five-Diamond Resort list; others include charming private estates and everything in between. What they all have in common is that we have a mutual respect for each other; we each genuinely want to see the other succeed; we envision a future together. My photographs are inspired by each couple’s love-struck story. I take the time to build a strong connection with my couples so they can feel comfortable and easily express their personalities and love in front of me and my camera. My style consists of fun, romantic, and creative images. I’m passionate about capturing candid moments and details incorporated from a thoughtful wedding. I love the camera. My desire is to capture life’s most important moments visually. When I photograph a couple’s wedding, I make every effort to ensure that my relationship with them is more “friend of the family” and less photographer-client. At times, I have even been known to dance at the weddings I shoot and mingle with the guests. I often tell my clients that they need to “click” (pun intended) with their photographer. Simply put, the photographer is the one person that couples will see and be with the most throughout this important day. I encourage a consultation so the couple can view my work but also see if my personality is a good fit for them. I truly enjoy what I do and it would be my honor to work with you.

I’ve had a camera in my hand since my dad gave me his manual Pentax when I was in 6th grade. I love to capture everyday things a bride and groom might miss. A quick kiss, a quirky item left on the gift table, an unusual angle. Unscripted moments are everything! For me, the story you get in a brief instant counts as much as the whole day. Capturing emotions are what I love the most. My approach is “as I see it” – I wait until that brief second when my bride and groom are completely in tune with each other and forget I’m there. Those are the moments you’ll treasure and the one I work hardest to get. I feed off the happy, positive energy of a wedding and delight in capturing it forever through images.

LOVE STORY Eric surprised Veena with a romantic dinner at Chez Panisse – a restaurant that she had wanted to try but had a hard time making reservations. LOVE STORY In early February of 2013, Holly and Anthony went to Playa del Carmen to escape the impending snow in Philadelphia. Anthony arranged a spear fishing expedition that unfortunately did not go as planned. LOVE STORY Matt took Chrissy to his favorite place in Hawaii, the Green Sand Beach, with rugged beauty and a windswept coastline that sparkles green as the sun reflects off the olivine minerals. LOVE STORY After dating for about nine months, Bryan proposed at the top of the Eiffel Tower. The proposal

didn’t

happen

because

they arrived at the tower only an hour before closing, and one of the elevators was broken. Since the line was two hours long, Lilly and Bryan took the stairs up 77 flights and got to the top just in time for him to pop the question overlooking Paris at 1:45am.
