What is Cannexus?
Cannexus has become one of the most prestigious conferences for those involved in career development on both a national and international level. Cannexus is a program of CERIC, the Canadian Education and Research Institute for Counselling, and is supported by The Counselling Foundation of Canada and CERIC’s broad network of supporting organizations. CERIC recognizes that the field of career counselling is changing. Keeping on top of these changes and providing high-value professional development opportunities to those in the career development field is the impetus for Cannexus. As Canada’s largest bilingual National Career Development Conference, Cannexus has experienced continued growth since its inception in 2007 and now attracts 800+ delegates. Cannexus promotes the exchange of ground-breaking ideas, innovative approaches and strategies in career development, education, research and counselling in Canada and around the world. It is the place to be to discuss hot topics in career development, to learn from key career theorists, to network with colleagues, to get motivated and inspired – and to challenge current thinking. It is designed to give practical tools for enhancing professional development, organizational productivity and client service effectiveness.
CERIC offers you an opportunity to be a part of Cannexus14 by becoming a sponsor, exhibitor or advertiser. Our commitment to you, via this annual conference, is to give you and your organization exposure to diverse delegates who have a stake in career development. We understand that each potential Cannexus sponsor has unique marketing resources and objectives. In an effort meet those needs, we have a range of sponsorship and advertising opportunities to suit every budget, from $100 to $10,000. Your support is important to us and we would enjoy the opportunity to discuss how we can work with you to customize a package that meets your marketing goals.
Here is what Cannexus attendees say: Thank you for the opportunity to present at the Cannexus conference. I think you really put on a great event and I heard nothing but positive remarks from delegates. – Norman E. Amundson, Professor, Counselling Psychology, University of British Columbia
Cannexus is a unique, national conversation hub for Canadian career professionals (and related stakeholders) making a difference in the world of work. (It) reinforced the irreplaceable role of counsellors, coaches, advisors – however we name ourselves – in our clients’ lives. – Heather F. Turnbull, CMF, President, Association of Career Professionals (ACP) International

The conference was excellent! With so many speakers and topics to choose from, I was able to select sessions in every time slot that were relevant to my work with clients and to my growth as a career development professional. I met many interesting people, and I was able to make valuable connections that I intend to follow up on. Not only that, but I enjoyed myself thoroughly! I look forward to applying various pieces of learning to my work. I hope/plan to attend Cannexus again in the future. – Juliana Wiens, Operations Co-ordinator/Employment Counsellor, Women’s Employment Outreach

Cannexus is, by far, my favourite conference! As exhibitor and representative for Psychometrics Canada, having attended various conferences across Canada for over 20 years, I find that Cannexus is not only one of the largest bilingual conferences in Canada, but also a unique opportunity to increase and to promote our products and services to a select clientele. In all the years that Psychometrics has exhibited, Cannexus and its team still makes sure to give those exhibiting countless opportunities to get noticed, and ensures exceptional visibility onsite at the conference! – Gaëtanne Pelletier, Training Program Director, Psychometrics

Don’t Just Take Our Word for It... Here are just some of the past Sponsors, exhibitors & advertisers at Cannexus:
And this is what they say about the conference: I’m really pleased, for the first time, to be exhibiting as well as presenting. I’ve been at this conference I think since the start and have presented almost every year …. we’re trying to exhibit because we thought it would be something very useful for us to communicate and build relationships with the kinds of delegates that come including a lot of career professionals from across the country… It’s been a great experience coming to Cannexus! – Mark Franklin, Practice Leader, CareerCycles
Cannexus is always an exciting and inspirational event where we get to come and share ideas and career development tools with some the best and brightest colleagues in our field. We just really love this event and we’re just happy to be here with a product that we are really proud of and something we can share with our colleagues and our community. It’s a great event. – Diane Twombley, York University Career Centre
16 Cannexus.ca
We’re here today to talk about jobs and professions within the wood industry… there are a lot of transferable skills to come into this industry as well. Right now we’re facing a skills shortage so we’re just really trying to promote the opportunities that there are within this sector and to let people know that there are jobs out there. – Jackie Kelly, Wood Manufacturing Council
Just wanted to let you know you did a fantastic job! We had a lot of fun, and many great conversations at the conference about career development. Overall the entire conference was a huge success from our point of view. Congrats, and awesome job! – Roshni Patel, Marketing Co-ordinator, Career Cruising
I was really pleased by the feedback from Canadian career development professionals. Our Cannexus promotion of giving out free test takings was a big success and I am looking forward to users’ feedback in the coming year. – Juliet Jones, Vice-President, Career Key
