Recruitment trends for 2016: UK and Global Another 12 months has come and gone and the recruitment industry has seen many changes, some expected and some that came out of nowhere. The quality of candidates seems to be a factor that is valuable for employers, with 39% saying candidate quality is important. Employee retention isn’t far behind with 32% of employers making employee retention a top priority in the next 12 months. Employee referrals are considered by 26% to be an integral part of recruitment and this area will be seeing a continued growth over the next year. Another trend that has occurred in recruitment is branding. Big Data leading the way in 2015 Big Data, an enormous treasure trove of information that reveals patterns, trends and associations that the IT sector is seeing the importance of and embracing. IT recruitment has seen an exponential rise for this skill from November 2014. More employers leaning towards permanent staffing According to a November report from REC, 84% of UK employers are planning to increase their workforce within the next three months and 76% are planning to expand their permanent staff in the next four to 12 months. 43% of UK employers are seeking to adopt the use of contractors in the next three month, while 44% employers are going to utilise contractors within the next 4 to 12 months. https://www.certes.co.uk/blog/2015/12/more-employers-leaning-towards-permanent-staffing
