POINTS OF INTEREST Arches National Park

Home to the world’s largest concentration of natural stone arches, this “miracle of nature” is 73,000-acres of red, arid desert. Discover over 2,000 eroded sandstone forms such as pinnacles, spires, balanced rocks and arches. Enjoy hiking around the park through various labyrinths and trails located just five miles from Moab. nps.gov/arch

Bryce Canyon National Park

Each year over 1.5 million people visit Bryce Canyon and take advantage of its recreational opportunities like hiking, horseback riding, biking and ATV tours. During the winter enjoy crosscountry skiing and sleigh rides. One of its main attractions is the orange growing drip castles! brycecanyon.com

Canyons and plateaus carved by two major rivers – the Colorado and the Green – make for some of the most challenging 4X4 roads and whitewater rapids in the world. The rivers divide the park into four districts: the Island in the Sky, the Needles, the Maze and the rivers themselves. Explore all districts and find countless canyons, tributaries and buttes. Capitol Reef National Park

This Park is characterized by sandstone formations, spectacular colored cliffs and canyons, and a 100mile long buckling in the earth’s crust called the Waterpocket Fold. Erosion has carved the rock into marvelous shapes. Since its designation as a national park in 1971, the majesty of Capitol Reef has been intriguing visitors with its spectacular landscape. nps.gov/care

Zion National Park

Zion is the first national park and most popular park in Utah. Walk the trails and paths where ancient native people and pioneers explored. The park is known for its incredible canyons and spectacular views. Hiking is the major reason visitors come to the Park and there are many options from easy, leisurely strolls to strenuous hikes through the slot canyons. This spectacular route along the Colorado River gorge begins at the Colorado River Bridge on the north end of Moab and winds along the Colorado River through a narrow section of the gorge providing spectacular views of the sandstone cliffs. The highway continues past Castle and Professor Valleys. There’s a great viewpoint for the Fisher Towers. The northern part of the drive exits the gorge and connects with Interstate 70.
