YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK P O I N T S

Cody, Wyoming – Rodeo Capital of the World Since the turn of the century, rodeos and parades have been part of the Fourth of July in Cody. The Cody Stampede Rodeo (July 1st – 4th) is celebrating its 101st Anniversary! The Cody Nite Rodeo runs every night from June 1st to August 31st. Night after night, Cody proves that it’s all about rodeo, all summer long!

Billings 15

Yellowstone National Park Artist Point - Considered the most scenic area of the park, this cliff is brilliantly lit with gorgeous colors of yellow, ochre, sienna, red, green, blue, and turquoise. The wall drops 700 feet below – an excellent spot to see the Lower Falls. Grand Canyon of Yellowstone - The canyon is about 4,000 feet wide and can reach 1,200 feet deep in some places. It is 20 miles of the most breathtaking and beautiful views in Yellowstone, and features three waterfalls. The lower falls of the Grand Canyon is the most photographed point in the entire park. Grand Loop Road - It is part of the 140-mile Grand Loop Road Historic District that provides access to major features of the park including the Upper, Midway and Lower geyser basins, Mammoth Hot Springs, Tower Fall, the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, and Lake Yellowstone.

7 DISTANCE BETWEEN WEST YELLOWSTONE AND...

Grand Prismatic Spring - The largest natural hot spring in the nation – 300 feet in diameter and at a smoldering-hot 160 degrees Fahrenheit. It is located in the Midway Geyser Basin with a dazzling azure blue center creating contrast with the outer edges during different seasons. Old Faithful - Old Faithful was named by the 1870 Washburn Expedition and at one time referred to as “Eternity’s Timepiece” because of its consistent eruptions. It erupts more frequently than any other large geyser at Yellowstone.

A scenic landmark crossing Glacier National Park between West Glacier and St. Mary. The 50-mile paved road was built in the 1930’s and is considered a National Landmark. The road is narrow, steep and winding with pullouts for viewing. Plan on 2-3 hours to complete the distance. Inquire at park entrance stations regarding construction delays and vehicle size restrictions.
