Bask in the history and culture of charming old town Salinas in the heart of the Salad Bowl of the World and maybe see a condor in the newly designated national park, The Pinnacles. Santa Cruz is the birthplace of mainland surfing and offers the quintessential beach vacation. Gilroy offers impressive outlet shopping, family fun at Gilroy Gardens (home of the spectacular “circus trees”) and is also home of the renowned Gilroy Garlic Festival.

From miles of rocky shoreline and sandy beaches to mountains and valleys, this part of California also boasts one of the largest concentrations of National and State parks and forests. The Ventura Region Ventura and Oxnard offer more than just beaches, vibrant downtowns, and fun-filled harbors including the Channel Islands Harbor and Ventura Harbor Village. They are also the gateways to the Channel Islands National Park and National Marine Sanctuary - five islands known as “Americas Galapagos” that inspire with wildlife viewing, hiking, and sea cave kayaking. The area also includes: Camarillo, with an “old west” feel, the artrich Ojai Valley, and Heritage Valley’s agricultural area of farms and small towns. Add the Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, the urban centers of the Conejo Valley, and The Ventura County Wine Trail, and you’ll find something for everyone.
