san sebastián. This charismatic neighborhood, offers a dynamic mix of coffee shops, museums, hotels and the city’s most popular restaurants. The architectural and cultural richness of the city, in general, have merited Cuenca its designation as a World Heritage City. I have always wanted to design something for my hometown and it was very interesting to walk around Cuenca’s Historical Center, pay attention to every detail and notice things that I never did before. Everything from its people to the uneven pavement, red tile roofs and its 19th-century Church makes this neighborhood so unique and I wanted to use all of these elements in the design.

cuco . Cuco is a pet-safe, non-toxic and eco-friendly line of cleaning products with sustainable packaging that help users keep their homes clean and their pets safe. The idea was to achieve a modern feel and use ink made from milk proteins or food instead of chemicals that can cause harm to the environment. The containers were left uncolored in order to save energy and avoid water and air pollution that happens during the coloring process. And finally, the creation of a label wrapped around the containers optimized the use of materials by lowering volume and mass.

living on earth. Living on Earth is a book about photography applied to different subjects, facts about some of the coolest places in the world, and tips for traveling around. The goal was to create a consistent and eye-catching layout using good typography hierarchy and other elements, taking in consideration that the focal point are the images. The color choice was inspired by one of the photographs and the white space carefully designed to ensure balance and good user experience.

Regal. Johnnie Walker is the biggest whiskey brand in the world and its slogan: “Keep Walking” has been adopted and embraced everywhere: as a rallying cry for progress, as encouragement in adversity, as a joyful expression of optimism and as the best piece of advice you’re ever likely to hear. After studying the brand, its history and development through the years I found their target audience to have on keyword in common. Brave. My goal was to make this new product true to its origins with a modern feel.

netflix’s csr report. Netflix as we know it is a streaming service that offers members a variety of movies, tv shows, documentaries and more. Netflix’s CSR effort consist in reducing energy consumption and carbon footprint in their own office buildings and they encourage their employees to be green-minded. The concept was entirely inspired by the visible regularities of form found in the natural world. An important goal was to tell a story, one that will provoke the need to help.

social media addiction campaign. Some people spend so much time on social media platforms that their use of social media interferes with other aspects of their daily lives. These people are considered to have a social media addiction, which can be harmful to them and others. This is a series of posters raising awareness of social media addiction. For the logo, I avoided abstract forms and any other element that could cause confusion. The idea was to create a visual identity that enhances the message, letting the posters be the star of the show. They are available for download in English and Spanish.

one nation music festival. One Nation is a music festival with a cause to end discrimination against immigrants, embrace diversity and to foster peace. A memorable night of saxophone, orchestra and piano featuring some of the most influential artists in the world. The main influence for the design direction was Lady Gaga’s performance at the Hurricane Relief Concert in 2017. Elegant, modern and classical. The logotype is powerful and versatile, it works in both digital and print format.

arthur golabek flowers. Arthur is a Floral Designer with a keen eye for detail and over 10 years of experience. His flower arrangements are always dazzling and inspirational and his creativity is not restricted to flowers, but embraces all forms of design. This is one of the most meaningful projects I’ve had as a designer because Arthur and I have been best friends for almost 10 years. His mind is full of breathtaking ideas and I wanted to incorporate that concept into the visual system. My approach was entirely inspired by organic shapes and the subtle nuances that exist in nature. For the color palette, I chose a rich and modern spectrum creating the perfect mood for this brand identity.

I’m a Graphic Designer, and Obsessive Creator. I was born in Ecuador, a place where family comes before all other things. Kindness and honesty guide my decisions and I always aim for client’s success and fulfillment. I have lived in three different countries, visited another 16 and I’m always planning my next adventure. Through this I’ve gained a better understanding of people’s needs, I’ve seen many cultures and backgrounds and I love to use those different perspectives of life to draw from when creative thinking. The first way in which I was able to express my creativity was through a DSL camera when I was 12 and today I still find incredibly inspiring how a photograph can evoke feelings of happiness, sadness, and everything in between. Photography and design are my two biggest passions and it constantly reminds me that the world is not just a scary place but there’s a lot of beauty too. Just look out the window at 6pm! I graduated from the Academy of Art University of San Francisco in 2020 after almost 9 years of pursuing my career in Graphic Design. Life’s not always easy but the satisfaction of getting things done is the best award. I also learned how to swim when I was 30. I believe that in order to deliver the best work as possible, I must first fully understand the design problem to then fall in love with the solution. I’m constantly feeding my brain with inspiration I find on design magazines like Novum from Germany, I speak English and Spanish, I’m obsessed with food, afraid of the ocean and always looking for new and interesting projects.
