If i’d got paid by each time i have kissed, i could buy two marzipans.. “Bonito” is a piece of comic movement, that explores the extreme use of the body and arrhythmia. Inspired in the teenage universe and its intensity. A work that adresses an extense emotional spectrum through movement techniques and a peculiar visión of the theatrical clown. A pause to open the eyes bigger, to admire, to receive stimulus, to listen and sense in the soul any everlasting bit. An improbable choreography of gazes and everyday actions to the pace of a murmur that shrouds you little by little, the bit addition that makes you advance Omar Barrios
.Research Process Is a perfomance proposal for a comic choreography with an approach from the visual theater with elements inspired in illustration books and graphic works. We build over three main research lines: -The small perceptions of tiny stimulus that upset us and transform us affectionatelly. The implications in the gestural, reactions, breaks and transformations of the expressive body. -The pretty in Destruction - the horror in construction: the manipulation and limits of “the pretty” and “the ugly” by the current social structures, media, economy, markets, education, religion, etc. where is the pretty? where and how can is the mood of most people? what motivations emerge to advance and repeat routins? why humans accept and make non-pretty actions every day? -The fragility as a way to sense limits. The astonishing in the simple and boundless. The minimum and maximum of our own acrobatic body. The imagination that builds realities going beyond the present, the feeling of life and transcendence.
Subjects: transgresión, provocación, pausa, movimiento espontáneo, velocidad, trascendencia, belleza, asco, crueldad, amor. Technical Information ·Bonito· Duration - 60 minutes Movement Theater, clown, silent humor Circus Techniques, coreography and visual dramaturgy Adressed to all audiences 1 act includes partial nudity
How far are we from being close? I am what you see if you see me
.Motivations We have the need of taking risks, producing performances that open routes for creation. Crossing disciplines, venture in the techniques with bases that are apparently unconnected, change the materials. With this work we want to expand a search for stories in images, starting with disciplines that are “natural to the circus, like dance, theater, music and visual arts. We are interested in working with diverse teams, atracted to learning and the challenge of finding different languages and rythms in common between artists from different backgrounds. Since our teenage we enjoy exploring detailed experiences that are provocative. We search from laugh, to question the serious and to keep our self surprised. To create a show that moves small threads in our bowels. We trust in the potential of circus to inspire, evoque and provoque the ritual of meeting and play.
