CESL Goes to the Grand Canyon! Spring 2014 What: Come join CESL and UofA students as we experience the beauty and history of the Grand Canyon, one of the seven natural wonders of the world, here in our own backyard! When: Friday, April 18-Sunday, April 20 (Spring II – Week 5) Cost: $295 per person Includes: Bus transportation, GC park entrance fee, two nights double occupancy in hotel near Canyon, and entrance fee into Museum of Northern Arizona. Does NOT include food. Sign up: You MUST sign up before March 18! *Space is limited *Stop by the Student Learning Center for more information*

Why do you want to study English? Because English is the number one language on the world. Also, because if I speak good English I can get a good job. How did you find CESL? My cousin Aziz is studying here and he told me about CESL. Do you want to study in the UofA? Yes What major? Electrical Engineering How do you like Tucson? I really like it during the day because it is the time that every store is open, so there are many things to do. But, I don't like it during the night time because everything is closed, so it gets really boring. Whats your favorite place in Tucson? Mount Lemmon and UofA campus.

What do you do in your free time? Watch movies, play video game and play soccer sometimes. Which places would you recommend people to visit in Saudi Arabia? Al Khobar and Jeddah because in those places there are a lot of things to do like: visit beautiful beaches, museums for arabic culture, old castles, nice resorts. Moreover, you can go camping and go offroading in the dunes.

What are study tips to help me with the TOEFL or my finals? HERE ARE SOME BASIC STUDY TIPS FROM THE STUDENT ACTIVITIES TEAM: 1) Pay attention in class. 2) Ask for help if you get stuck (don’t know the answer)! 3) STUDY in 20-50 minute “chunks” (amounts of time) 4) Eat healthy snacks. 5) Get a good night's sleep!! *ALSO To help improve your English sign up and participate at the… CONVERSATI ON TAB LE. Come talk with an English Language and Linguistics student every Thursday from 12:00 to 3:00 pm in the Student Learning Center at CESL (Room 209).
