Spring II Session- Week 1
CESL Goes to the Grand Canyon! What: Come join CESL and UofA students as we experience the beauty and history of the Grand Canyon, one of the seven natural wonders of the world, here in our own backyard! When: Friday, April 18-Sunday, April 20 (Spring II – Week 5) Cost: $295 per person Includes: Bus transportation, GC park entrance fee, two nights double occupancy in hotel near Canyon, and entrance fee into Museum of Northern Arizona. Does NOT include food. Sign up: You MUST Sign up NOW in CESL 101!

CESL Student Council Presents: IEP GPA Competition You may have noticed the center of the bulletin board on the landing of the staircase displaying some graphs labeled “CESL Student Council Presents: IEP GPA Competition.� This bulletin board is to promote an ongoing Student Council initiative to foster more friendly interclass competition! CESL will reward the OC class with the highest overall average GPA at the end of the session. How it works: On Mondays we will post the average GPA of each IEP OC class as bar graphs on the bulletin board. The OC class with the highest overall cumulative GPA at the end of Week 7 will WIN a free pizza party in class!

What is your Level at CESL? 50 What is your favorite food? My favorite food is a Brazilian Pudding. It helps relax you. Do you have any special skills? I play soccer and table tennis. (He plays table tennis competitively!) Also I play guitar, electric, acoustic, and bass. What do you study/have you studied? I studied English for 1 year in Brazil and I also studied how to be an electrician, I hope to go on to Electrical Engineering at the University of Arizona. Why did you choose Arizona? There were three options through my Brazilian Scholarship, Arizona, Iowa State, and Consectetuer: Purdue, so I chose Arizona. Where do you want to go in the United States? I want to go to the Grand Canyon, and also Las Vegas to the casinos because I like to play poker. What are you excited about or what do you look forward to about your time here at CESL? I am excited to make friends of different cultures, and to exchange cultures and points of views with them and learn about how they live life or what they believe. Culture is a great way to learn.

Ask CESL Question: How can I stay healthy or workout in Tucson? Answer: One way to stay healthy or workout in Tucson is visiting the Campus Recreational Center! CESL Event Next Friday!: CESL Event: Student Activity Assistants will take students who want to go on a tour of the rec center at 12:30 pm next Friday, March 28th, 2014. In order to be a part of this tour, please sign up in the SLC for this.
