Also required is proof of English proficiency, proof of financial resources, and health insurance. Visit grad.arizona.edu/admissions/requirements for specific information about admission requirements and application deadlines, which may vary by department. Graduate departments may recommend students for conditional admission if they meet all Graduate College requirements except the minimum English proficiency requirement. Conditional admission requires students to apply to and enroll at the UA Center for English as a Second Language, with the expectation of achieving English proficiency within one year at their own expense. FUNDING Students requesting non-immigrant visas must certify that they possess adequate financial resources to support themselves while attending the University of Arizona. Students who are receiving departmental funding can apply those departmental funds toward the completion of the financial guarantee. Once the financial guarantee is complete, most Visa documents will be issued by the Graduate College. Additional funds may be required to meet the total guarantee requirement. These funds may come in the form of personal funds, sponsor funding, departmental funding, or a combination of all three. Departmental funding typically comes in the form of a teaching or research assistantship, fellowships, and tuition scholarships. grad.arizona.edu/international-students Many international students obtain funding from outside sources, including those listed below:
