n Thursday, January 13, 2011, Coral Gables’ brand new Arts & Culture District along Aragon Avenue will be on display with An Evening on Aragon reception and networker. The exciting night will begin at the Coral Gables Art Cinema with a wine tasting provided by Treehouse Wines & Spirits. Professor Mario F. Ortego will then guide guests on a tour

of the Architectecture Atelier 2011: Education of an Architect exhibit at the Coral Gables Museum. We will end the night at Books & Books. “I am thrilled that our committee has organized such a wonderful event for the community and Chamber, which will highlight some of the cultural gems on Aragon Avenue. I firmly believe that arts and culture are an important part of a thriving and happy community. Whether it is a night at the theatre or cinema, a poetry reading, wine tasting or visit to

the Museum, our City Beautiful is the place to be when it comes to arts and culture.” stated Hannah Greaux, Chair of the Cultural Affairs Committee at the Chamber. Nomination forms are now available for the Chamber’s 2011 AXA Advisors Businesswomen of the Year Awards. The Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce will once again honor excellence in business at the awards luncheon on Friday, March 11th at the Coral Gables Country Club. The 2011 AXA Advisors Businesswomen of the Year Awards recognize women living or working in Miami-Dade County or who are members of the Coral Gables

Chamber of Commerce. The leaders demonstrate excellence in their business or profession, as well as a commitment to serve as role models for other women. This year, the event will honor one woman in each of five categories: Entrepreneur, Corporate, Philanthropy, Public Service/NonProfit and Retail/Restaurateur.
