t is said that great opportunities begin with “Great Expectations” and that is the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce’s focus this upcoming year under the leadership of Chair-Elect Sarah Nesbitt Artecona. “Each year the annual goals conference gives a chance for you, our membership, to decide where we should focus our time and attention,” Artecona said. This year’s Goals Conference has been condensed to one full day of goal-setting sessions, highprofile speakers, and highvalue networking. The Conference will kick off on Thursday June 25th at 6:30 p.m. with the 2nd Annual George E. Merrick Award of Excellence Dinner, our community’s premier award
honoring an outstanding leader in Coral Gables. The following day will open with a special edition of our monthly Good Morning Coral Gables Breakfast. We will be announcing the incoming Board members as well as welcoming County Manager George Burgess as the guest speaker. He will be discussing the county’s strategic plan. Following the breakfast will be a series of break-out workshop sessions rounding out the day. The Goals Conference will conclude with a poolside reception at sunset.
