Our Experience Our experts have provided design and consulting services to public and private companies throughout the country. Representative proejct experience includes: Albany Capital Center: CHA was commissioned by the Albany Convention Center Authority to provide geotechnical and structural engineering design services for a new conference facility to be located in downtown Albany. Referred to as the Albany Capital Center the 82,0000 SF facility is a 5-story structure with 3 levels of parking below grade and 2 levels of conference space above the parking structure. HMS Host Travel Plazas: CHA has provided program management and engineering services related to the construction of travel plazas along Pennsylvania Turnpike, New Jersey Turnpike, I-95 in Delaware, and the Adirondack Northway in New York. SUNY New Paltz Landscape Master Plan: CHA provided engineering services for four major projects on the SUNY New Paltz campus. The projects represented a wide range of campus systems including planting, walks, streets, parking, and lighting in context with the college’s mission to create a more sustainable, pedestrian friendly campus. Henrico County Twin Hickory Park: CHA was responsible for the master plan and design of a new park on a 49 acre parcel. Located on a site with significant environmental restrictions, the project developed a virtually unusable piece of property into recreation area for the residents of Henrico County. The park features two playground areas, an interactive water spray ground, two miles of multi-use trails, one large multi-purpose playing field and a large open space that can also be used for recreation.
Bronx Mental Health Security Improvements: CHA provide security contract documents and construction administration services for the complete upgrade to the Access Control System, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems, personal alarm system (PAS), commercial sallyports, security entry doors/ revolving doors, key control, pedestrian sallyports, safety office and pharmacy. City of Savannah Cultural Arts Center: CHA provided program management services to the City of Savannah for the $20.4 million, 39,540 SF Cultural Arts Center project. This was a landmark project for the City, not only for its location in the National Historic Landmark District and its importance to the local arts community, but also because it represents the City’s first use of contract program management. Department of the Navy Worldwide IDIQ Contract: CHA was awarded an IDIQ Contract to provide A/E services for the construction of Moral, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) projects for various Navy installations throughout the United States. Typical MWR projects include upgrades to golf courses, athletic fields, pools, fleet centers, campgrounds, fitness centers, dining facilities, marinas, and recreation/youth centers.
