3D Laser Scanning 3D laser scanning offers you true 360° surveys of large, complex sites and structures in three dimensions. Entire streetscapes can be reproduced down to the lane striping, building facades recorded brick-by-brick, or as-built conditions of industrial plants mapped to the last power cable. The technology is eye-safe, works day or night, indoors and out, and can be operated without interfering with facility operations, construction activities, or traffic flow. Comprehensive as-built and topographic surveys can be finished in a single visit.
Environmental Our scientists and engineers provide a full range of services from preparing Environmental Impact Statements to site evaluations. We have completed visual assessments, wetland delineations, natural resource inventories, cost/benefit analyses, noise and air quality studies, and land use analyses. We have completed more than 150 design approval documents including Environmental Impact Statements, Environmental Assessments, and Categorical Exclusions. Our qualified in-house staff performs all environmental screenings and analyses.
Survey/Right of Way For a half-century, CHA has provided reliable surveys for thousands and thousands of projects. Our experience and expertise provides a solid groundwork upon which each unique situation rests. We are proud of our ability to adapt our skills to the particular needs required. Design involves superior attention to technique, consideration of the smallest details, and significant experience.
Inspections State agencies, bridge authorities, rail companies, and municipalities have trusted CHA’s experts to inspect more than 15,000 bridges, to identify structural deficiencies and scour vulnerability, and prevent problems before they happen. Our nationally-recognized scour experts identify risks and design state-of-the-art countermeasures.
Scour Over the past two decades, CHA has inspected, evaluated, and assessed over 16,000 bridges and culverts for their vulnerability to scour. These have ranged from single span rural crossings to multi-span structures over rivers. Notably, we have extensive experience evaluating bridges with unknown foundations, determining their scour vulnerabilities, and recommending protective actions.
