Snapchat is a pretty basic app that can be easily used by just about everyone. It’s as simple as taking a picture, adding some text or taking a 3-10 second video that you can also add text or draw on and also add filters to. You then upload to your story and you’re golden. A simple swipe to the left lets you chat with other snappers and a swipe to the right allows you to view your own story and the stories of your friends. If you have not downloaded the app yet and done some investigating you may not know what Stories are yet. When you take a picture or a video and you’re ready to upload it you can tap the arrow in the lower right side of the screen and then a pop up will appear asking you if you want to send it to friends or your story. In this case you would upload to your story.
Each picture or video you take will be added to your story, they’ll add up and then your friends can see your entire story of everything you uploaded in the last 24 hours. Pretty cool right?
You can also save your story at the end of the day, it will be saved straight to your camera roll and you can view it anytime on your phone. If you don’t save it within the 24 hours it will be gone
FOREVER!!! Once you download it you can upload it to your other social media profiles for extra marketing!
2. Go Behind the Scenes of Your Business As mentioned above, being authentic and having the rawness in your snaps with this platform is going to benefit you it’s more real to your customer. So why not do a video tour and photos of what goes on behind the scenes with your business? SHow off the offices, the work floor or wherever you work, show off your company parties or outings, events that you have for your employees. Make sure to have fun with it and enjoy the process.

3. Make Your Social Media Profile Pic Your Snap Code I’m starting to see this around a lot more lately and that is to make you profile pictures your snap code on all your social profiles. Then encourage people from time to time to add you on Snapchat.

Social Media Examiner shares that with promos and giveaways you will increase the engagement of your Snapchat with a 10 second snap so that there is enough time for someone to take a quick screen shot.

Not only will people get to know like and trust you but they are also going to tell their friends and family about your offer. Just think of what you can do with this platform! You get people to know like and trust you through your snaps, showing them behind the scenes and then offering them a free item. How can you fail at this?
5. Influencer Outreach For fast results you can reach out to an influencer in your industry or niche and see if they would be willing to do a Snapchat takeover. What this means is that you if you are able to get an influencer to take over your snaps you would give them your Snapchat login information and then they could run some snaps in your stories for you. Imagine all the attention your business could get with that!
As an example, Logan Paul teamed up with Sourpatch Kids for a Snapchat takeover. According to Neil Patel he Logan invited his 500,000+ Twitter friends to watch this event. Woah Woah WAIT! Sourpatch Kids got the opportunity to get in front of 500,000 people just from Snapchat? That’s pretty crazy!
This is not a guarantee that you will get 500,000 people using an influencer takeover but it might be a good option for youif this method sounds like it could be up your alley.

With GhostCodes you are able to search for people that are in your niche or industry and there are interests as well that you can go through, almost like keywords, and select for your profile. This is going to help others who search for that keyword to find you in Ghost Codes.
This is the same for you, you are going to want to use the search to find people in your niche. Once you have searched there will be a number to the right and that tells you how many people have the keyword in their profile. if they have a decent amount of people that you can connect with go into the category and you will see a list of people. There will be hearts to the right and a down arrow on the left.
What you are going to want to do is tap the heart on the right and then tap the down arrow on the left. What this does is by giving hearts you will bring up that persons “rank” or “position” and the arrow will turn into a check mark and you can later go through your photos and add each person as a friend through Snapchat. The more hearts you have, or the higher the your rank, the higher on the list you will appear which will bring you more customers because you’ll be one of the first people on the list that they can choose from.
I have already met new people and have a pretty good following after using the app for about a week now. It’s pretty exciting and very easy to use.
In Conclusion Snapchat has over 100 million daily active users and only 2% of marketers are using this platform right now. That means that there is a huge opportunity right now for you to be using Snapchat. Don’t waste your time, just get on and start learning it.
