Order of Service Musical Prelude Processional & Opening Sentences Opening Hymn ............................................................... “All the Way My Savior Leads Me” And my soul a-thirst may be, 1. All the way my Savior leads me; Gushing from the Rock before me Lo, a spring of joy I see; What have I to ask beside? Gushing from the Rock before me, Can I doubt His tender mercy, Lo, a spring of joy I see. Who through life has been my guide? Heavenly peace, divinest comfort, 3. Here by faith in Him to dwell; All the way my Savior leads me; For I know whate’re befall me; O the fullness of His love! Jesus doeth all things well; Perfect rest to me is promised For I know whate’re befall me, in my Father’s house above, Jesus doeth all things well When I wake to live immortal, Wing my flight to realms of day, 2. This my song through endless ages, All the way my Savior leads me; Jesus led me all the way; Cheers each winding path I tread; This son through endless ages, Gives me grace for every trial, Jesus led me all the way. Feeds me with the living bread; Though my weary steps my falter,

Recessional Hymn ........................“Day by Day” 1. Day by day and with each passing moment, Strength I find to meet my trials here; Trusting in my Father’s wise bestowment, I’ve no cause for worry or for fear, He whose heart is kind beyond all measure, Gives unto each day what He deems best Lovingly, it’s part of pain and pleasure, Mingling toil with peace and rest. 2. Every day the Lord Himself is near me, With a special mercy for each hour; All my cares he fain would bear, and cheer me, He whose name is Counselor and power. The protection of His child and treasure; Is a charge that on Himself He laid; As your days, your strength shall be in measure, This the pledge to me He made

3. Help me then in every tribulation; So to trust Thy promises, O Lord, That I lose not faith’s sweet consolation, Offered me within Thy Holy Word. Help me Lord, when toil and trouble meeting, E’re to take, as from a Father’s hand, One by one, the days, the moments fleeting, Till I reach the promised land. Recessional

Graveside I SING THE MIGHTY POWER OF GOD I sing the almighty power of God, that made the mountains rise, that spread the flowing seas abroad, and built the lofty skies. I sing the wisdom that ordained the sun to rule the day; the moon shines full at God’s command, and all the stars obey. 2 I sing the goodness of the Lord, who filled the earth with food, who formed the creatures thru the Word, and then pronounced them good. Lord, how thy wonders are displayed, where’er I turn my eye, if I survey the ground I tread, or gaze upon the sky!

3 There’s not a plant or flower below, but makes thy glories known, and clouds arise, and tempests blow, by order from thy thrown; while all that borrows life from thee is ever in thy care; and everywhere that we can be, thou, God, art present there. THE GOLDEN MORNING The golden morning is fast approaching; Jesus soon will come To take his faithful and happy children To their promised home Refrain O, we see the gleams of the golden morning Piercing thro’ this night of gloom! O, see the gleams of the golden morning That will burst the tomb.

2 The gospel summons will soon be carried To the nations round; The Bridegroom then will cease to tarry And the trumpet sound.

FAIREST LORD JESUS Fairest Lord Jesus, ruler of all nature, O thou of God and man the Son! Thee will I cherish, Thee will I honor, Thou, my soul’s glory, joy, and crown.

3 Attended by all the shining angels, Down the flaming sky The Judge will come, and will take his people Where they will not die.

2 Fair are the meadows, fairer still the woodlands, Robed in the blooming garb of spring: Jesus is fairer, Jesus is purer Who makes the woeful heart to sing.

4 The lov’d of earth who have long been parted, Meet in that glad day; The tears of those who are broken hearted Shall be wiped away.

3 Fair is the sunshine, fairer still the moonlight, And all the twinkling starry host: Jesus shines brighter, Jesus shines purer Than all the angels heaven can boast. 4 Beautiful Savior! Lord of all the nations, Son of God and Son of Man! Glory and honor, praise, adoration, now and forevermore be thine!

THERE’S NO OTHER NAME LIKE JESUS There’s no other name like Jesus, ‘Tis the dearest name we know, ‘Tis the angel’s joy in heaven, ‘Tis the Christian’s joy below. Refrain Sweet name, (sweet name) dear name, (dear name) There’s no other name like Jesus; Sweet name, (sweet name) dear name, (dear name) There’s no other name like Jesus. 2 There’s no other name like Jesus When the heart with grief is sad, There’s no other name like Jesus When the heart is free and glad. 3 ‘Tis the hope that I shall see Him When in glory He appears, ‘Tis the hope to hear His welcome That my fainting spirit cheers.

4 If He wills that I should labor In His vineyard day by day, Then ’tis well if only Jesus Blesses all I do or say. 5 If He wills that death’s cold finger Touch my feeble, mortal clay, Then ’tis well if only Jesus Is my dying trust and stay. HOW CHEERING IS THE CHRISTIAN HOPE How cheering is the Christian’s hope, While toiling here below! It bouys us up while this passing through This wilderness of woe, 2 It bouys us up while this passing through This wilderness of woe, It bouys us up while passing through This wilderness of woe.

3 It points us to a land of rest, Where saints with Christ will reign; Where we shall meet the loved of earth, And never part again. 4 Fly, lingering moments, fly, O, fly, Dear Savior, quickly come! We long to see Thee as Thou art, And reach that blissful home. HOW FAR FROM HOME How far from? I asked, as on I bent my steps-the watchman spake: “the long, dark night is almost gone, The morning soon will break. Then weep no more, but speed thy flight, With Hope’s bright star guiding ray, Till thou shalt reach the realms of light, In everlasting days.”

2 I asked the warrior on the field; This was his soul-inspiring song: “With courage, bold, the sword I’ll wield, The battle is not long. Then weep no more, but well endure The conflict, till thy work is done; For this we know, the prize is sure, When victory is won.” 3 I asked again; earth, sea, and sun Seemed, with one voice, to make reply: “Time’s wasting sands are nearly run, Eternity is nigh. Then weep no more-with warning tones, Portentous signs are thickening round, The whole creation, waiting, groans, To hear the trumpet sound.”

4 Not far from home! O blessed thought! The traveler’s lonely heart to cheer; Which oft a healing balm has brought, And dried the mourner’s tear. Then weep no more, since we shall meet Where weary footsteps never roamOur trails past, our joys complete, Safe in our Father’s home.

A

t approximately 9:55 am on August 13, 2014, I never knew that would have been the last time I heard your voice. We had many plans and one of mine that you would be the one to carry this burden. God had other plans. You were always my strength in my weak moments and I just cannot image you not being here for us. These days are hard to carry out various activities and it will be harder and lonelier for me. Dear you will always be in my thoughts and heart, because thirty years is difficult to part with. I need to be strong, I am told. I will try but only God knows the hurt, the pain and void that are in my life. May you rest in peace my friend and hope one day we will meet in the earth made new. Your wife Mars
