Chadwick International Tennis Club Group Tennis Coaching (Grade 3,4,5) Beginner and Intermediate Coaching - 2 sessions a week. One Weekday and one Saturday session. - W125,000 - space is limited - all equipment provided or bring your own. - Coach: Mr Tom Carlaw • A beginner program where students take part in larger group lessons aimed at developing basic strokes. Beginners would focus on cooperative games to develop skills, and to pass skill tests. Students would have 30 minutes of lesson/combined with chances to practice. Upon completing this level students should be comfortable hitting backhand and forehand ground strokes in a cooperative rally with a coach, and be able to serve into the opposite service box on a ¾ court. • An intermediate program for students who have passed the skill tests for the beginner program. Students would have 20 minutes of practice (cooperative), 20 minutes of instruction, and 20 minutes of competitive activities. Upon completing this level students should be comfortable hitting backhand and forehand ground strokes with another student, hit volleys consistently in a cooperative rally with another student, and hit overhead smashes. Students are comfortable doing a variety of practice drills independently, and can play singles and doubles. Introduction to Tennis (Grade 1 & 2) - 1 session a week. Saturday 12:30pm-1:00pm - W90,000 - all equipment provided or bring your own. - Coach: Mr Tom Carlaw Students will be able to experience the great game of tennis and learn the skills and rules of play. This is a beginner program where students take part in larger group lessons aimed at developing basic strokes. Upon completing this level students should be comfortable hitting backhand and forehand ground strokes in a cooperative rally with a coach, and be developing their service stroke. After School Tennis for Middle School - 1 session a week. Fridays, 3:15-4:15pm - W70,000 - space is limited - all equipment provided or bring your own. - Coach Mr. B. Blanton Students interested in playing tennis in singles, doubles and mixed doubles can sign up for the after school session on Fridays. Informal coaching will happen along the way, but primarily the goal is to come and play, socialize and generally enjoy the time together. Be sure to bring your racket! On inclement (rainy or wet) days we will meet inside for the time for a rousing Greek Dodge game or other activity.
