What are the academic benefits?
Most students entering college aren’t sure what they want to study. Many people change their major as they discover more about career fields and what subjects they like.
At Chaffey you will receive an excellent education equal to - if not better than that offered at a four-year university. We accept Advanced Placement (AP) courses completed at your high school. We also offer concurrent enrollment for high school students interested in getting a headstart on their college education.
In order to ensure that your classes apply toward your major, enroll in what is called “academic core curriculum” or general education classes. These classes apply to almost every degree and include English, math, social sciences, natural sciences, and physical education. Before registering for classes, make an appointment with a counselor to prepare a Student Education Plan.
The Chaffey College Honors Program is nationally recognized. Through this outstanding program students are exposed to creative and challenging coursework, academic activities, scholarships, conferences, community service, and personalized academic advisement. Call the Honors Department at (909) 652-6235 for more information.
