PRESIDENT’S WELCOME Dr. Henry D. Shannon
Welcome to the 2011-12 basketball season at Chaffey College. On behalf of the Governing Board, faculty and staff, we thank you for your continued support of our athletics programs and invite you to join us in another exciting season.
In the ten years Jeff Klein has coached the Chaffey Hustlin’ Panthers the team has had four Foothill Conference titles and nine playoff appearances including the 2010-11 squad. Under his guidance, the men’s basketball team has the most winning program within the Foothill Conference, averaging 24 wins per season. Coach Plunkett begins his seventh season
at Chaffey. Already, the ladies have been dominating tournaments in preparation for the heated Foothill Conference race.
The strong history of academic and athletic success of our basketball program is continuing with the young people that will take to the court tonight. Many will graduate this year, continuing their academics at four year universities throughout the country. These studentathletes will take with them the high standards the Chaffey coaching staff has instilled in them, making their families and our college proud. Please join me in cheering the Panthers onto another successful season both on and off the court.
