Awards’ Dinner, Entertainment and the Show of Shows stage presentation, starring: Marshall Thompson and the Chi-Lites, The Barrett Sisters with Tina Brown. ‘Portrait of Achievers’ Awardees are: Pastor Lottie Woods-Hall, Intercessory Center, Greenville, South Carolina, and Marshall Thompson and the ChiLites, will receive the ‘Hall of Fame’ Award.

Some original judges to embrace the Probation Challenge concept Many judges because of political consequences backed away from the Rev. Harold E. Bailey and his efforts to educate youth who were filtering through the criminal justice system. However, those who immediately respected the vision were: Justice William Cousins, Jr., Judge Earl Strayhorn, Judge Mary Maxwell Thompson, Federal Judges; Printiss Marshall and Blanch Mannings. Many other outstanding judges gave the program an opportunity to prove

itself. The program created a trackrecord unmatched even today, which was applauded across the nation and abroad. However, the program was hampered here because of political reasons.
