WELCOME

Dear Chamber Member This will be a defining year for the Cork business community as we seek to distinguish our recovery and build our resilience to future shocks. It Is our pleasure to represent such a vibrant business community in the region, the drivers of our region’s economic success, and which includes the Partner members represented within this publication. The Chamber Partners make a considerable contribution to Cork Chamber advocacy and public affairs activities, representing the voice of their industries and the interests of the region. The identification of quality of life infrastructure as the number one feature of our future competitiveness, as outlined in our Building Economic Resilience report 2020, shows a clarity of vision that we are proud to represent. Significant decisions must be made at Government level regarding capital investment in Ireland’s fastest growing city region. Will the Cork Metropolitan Area Transport Strategy be delivered and how fast can it be done? How best do we restore our connectivity? Will we back renewable energy, generating new economic value and cementing our reputation as a progressive region? Will we really deliver on the vision of vibrant downtown apartment living? How do we see as many businesses over the line to at the close of this pandemic and beyond?

One thing is clear, the voice of Cork Chamber members has a defining role in influencing the most progressive possible outcomes for the Cork business community. The positivity of our membership endures and is as strong as ever before. Within our community we also have an obligation and duty to support one another, to keep an ear to the ground and to do the right thing to support our local economy. From the single person consultancy to the largest multinational, our combined success is interwoven. We are all striving to the same end, to secure our quality of life, and the reward of meaningful productivity for this and for future generations. I commend our Partners for their unwavering support for this vision and for their exceptional contribution to the Cork economy.
