Welcome It has been a privilege for the Chamber President, the Chamber team and I to represent you and all our members through 2023. This diverse, active business community is wonderfully resilient - determined to grow, to see your region thrive. Our events, advocacy and our international representation is shaped by you, and driven by this relentless strength that exists right across our business community. We like to think it’s a Cork thing! In late November it was a pleasure to welcome An Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar as the keynote at our Dublin Dinner, an evening which allows businesses, political leaders and diplomatic corp to network and connect. We are immensely proud of the unrivalled access and reach we offer our members through the year’s calendar of events, and we look forward to your engagement and attendance through 2024. Our lobbying and advocacy activity on behalf of our region is unsurpassed. As a member, you benefit from having the most active regional lobby group representing your interests. We continually welcome your input, feedback and views on what your city region needs in order to thrive and grow. Throughout the year, our commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices has been at the forefront of everything we do. The implementation of our Strategic Plan is shaped, directed and
guided by our formal commitment to uphold the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We believe in the power of sustainability for the greater good. We work to do the right things for the right reasons, for our people, for our members, in our daily activities and for the communities in which we work in. While it may be daunting, we simply must work collectively to ensure that any progress is delivered in a sustainable, equitable and considered way.
